We had a wonderful time! The house was so spacious and decorated so cute and cozy. The views from the kitchen are wonderful- we were able to watch the sunrise even while making our coffee. The under the house area and turf is also perfect for dogs and kids. exceeded our expectations!

The perfect place for slowing down and relaxing, every convenience is available in the home, from the heat toilet seat, to the wall of doors that open completely. Direct access to the beach, literally walk straight out the door, across the deck, down the steps and you’re on the beach. Doesn’t get any easier. It has a working fireplace for cozy winter stays and for families it literally has everything you could need to keep kids and adults entertained. Lots of outdoor spaces for entertaining. Leaving was hard and I look forward to going back. Even my dogs loved it. Run don’t walk to this house, you won’t be disappointed!

Location was amazing with mere steps to the beach. This end of Folly island isnt nearly as busy which is precisely what I wanted. The deck and clam shell chair were so comfy. The only complaint I have is the luxury kitchen with amazing view…it was SO nice I never went out to eat. Top of the line appliances and amazing view..cant be topped.

The only complaint was the front kitchen room is hot. It should be outfitted with a ceiling fan or HVAC vent. Over than that we had a great stay. Tv in the basement (outdoor) area also did not work.

The property was beautiful, location was fantastic. A few appliances were broken and not working. In addition the management company sent a company to fix it and the appliance worker asked if we would let them in to work on the appliances while we were packing up (which I didn't let them because I didn't feel comfortable allowing that). Also, there was a racoon in the laundry room. Lastly, we were provided incorrect door code to gain entry to the property. Two consecutive days the adjoining unit there was furniture movement around 2 am. The property was great and I would love to go to this property again that said I feel that the property management company had some miss steps.

Awesome place to stay in Folly if you’re in the area. Views are amazing, tons of amenities, lights out equipment and utensils in the house. Everything is very state of the art. The location is amazing, and for our purposes we loved it. However, if you are planning on hanging out in downtown folly or going in to charleston, it’s a bit of a drive each time because of how far down the strip the house is (but that’s the price you pay for beach front)
Also, checking in and working with them was easy, but be prepared to fill out a bunch of paper work and sign a full on lease OUTSIDE of the app. Some people find this to be a turn off, and others don’t trust anything outside of the app, so be warned. It’s at least 20 mins of paperwork to fill out.

First of all, the view out the huge kitchen window is to die for, the pictures don't even do it justice (and if you're into kitchens this one is something!). This is definitely a funky Folly original property that has had some really nice upgrades yet still has a lot of character. You can tell the owners are putting a lot of work into the details, making great use of space in the house with the sliding windows and doors to create indoor/outdoor space onto the deck (my favorite space!), as well as the area under the house. My daughter is older now but this house would be heaven to kids under 10 with all the built in play areas, and teens would enjoy the sitting and tv area under the house. Lots of extras were included such as a shelf of books and a chest of tons of family games. That said, there are some quirks, awkward spaces, and some areas that still need some TLC, such as the hall bath. Two bedrooms have unexpected steps in them and the entrance and beach access have some twisty stairs to be mindful of, and I do wish the second bedroom had a queen instead of a full. But overall I loved the house and would absolutely recommend it and stay again. The location was quiet and even though it was a duplex it felt quite secluded, we hardly noticed we had neighbors. Staff were friendly and responsive to one minimal issue we had. Thanks to the homeowners and Folly's Best!

Great location about 2 miles from "downtown" Folly Beach. Very easy to get everywhere on the island. All details were very clear and instructions were easy to follow. Plenty of space. Beach was right out the door. It was a great place for me and my friends to celebrate turning 50 this year!

We needed a really quick local getaway (from GVL, SC) and wanted to come “home” to Charleston, but wanted to be away from the bustle and just watch nature and surfers. We got just that from Zanzibar. Absolutely charming and comfortable space just a few feet from the sand to watch the waves crash during the day and the clear constellation-filled sky at night. The kitchen and master bath were gorgeous with creature comforts that made us feel super cozy. Our dogs LOVED the house as they could watch the ocean and the birds easily without much of an obstructed view. Thank you for having us! Also, Joe of Cups Saloon down the street was amazing if you’re looking for really delicious food with a creative international twist!

While we had some hickups like not knowing how the range top operated and couldnt stream TV and the air went out the last day we still give it 5 stars because it has everything you could ask for and a beautiful kitchen. Also great beach watching all the surfers was great entertainment. And of course pet friendly!!!!

This place is incredible! We have stayed in beach front condos on Folly for past vacations-the location of Zanzibar makes them look far away! No need to pack a cooler or snacks! We had a maintenance issue when we arrive-no internet-but Robin from the rental agency arrived quickly and did not leave until it was resolved. This was our 1st stay at Zanzibar but certainly will not be our last!

House was beautiful. If you’re old though, the only chair you can get up from is the kitchen chairs. Even outside. I wanted to take an outside chair from the duplex. Other than that, we had no tv because there was a problem with direct tv access. Made us take advantage of the view more. Most important thing was sunrise access to the ocean. Perfect!!
