The house was very nice and the location and views were amazing. The kitchen had everything I needed to cook a Thanksgiving meal which was wonderful. I would absolutely rent this house again.

The house was great! Plenty of space. Areas we didn’t even need. Kitchen is well equipped. A lot of different porch options to relax on overlooking the marsh. We loved the rooftop deck! Great for sunsets and night sky observation. The house is charming and we found it spotless. The beds were comfortable. We are already talking about renting it again sometime.

We truly enjoyed our stay at this vacation home. The house was clean, nicely decorated and offered plenty of room to retreat for a large family. The screened back porch is very spacious with lots of seating. The views are fantastic!
Best Rentals quickly responded to a minor issue (almost every door inside was squeaking!)
The only downside was a missing outside grill, as previous guests remarked in their reviews; especially, since the house's location is almost at the end of Folly Beach Island & you would have to drive back into town for dinner at the local restaurants. It's way more convenient, after a long day at the beach with multi-generational families, to stay in and 'throw something on the grill' & enjoy the beautiful views, rather than gather everybody up and drive into a crowded town!
More clarification seems to be needed regarding garbage separation & recycling. Previous guests disposed household garbage together w/plastics & paper so that our recycling effort was useless

The house isn’t perfect, so if you want a pristine, new build, it’s not for you. We loved it. The sunset views from the screened in porch and the dock were incredible, and the front yard feels really private. I thought it was even better/bigger than we thought from the pictures. The dock made my week!
It’s a short walk to the beach access, and was super quiet and peaceful until a big group of frat guys showed up at the house next door on our last night (not our host’s fault!).
The only things we noticed were missing: Tupperware for leftovers after we cooked, a grill, and a Roku. We brought our own grill, made due without Tupperware, and barely turned on any of the tvs anyway, so none of these things were an issue for us! We’d bring some Tupperware next time.

Beautiful location, perfect for a surfing, beachgoing family. No beach towels, or beach chairs. Also, no grill, a small hibachi was all that was available, unusual in my previous experience in Folly. The outdoor shower was great. It would be great to get more screens in so that you can catch the cross breeze. Overall, we will be back.

The perfect spot to stay at Folly Beach !!!! This house is outstanding. Great location beach access is a short walk across the street and a little bit further walk and you can walk the beach to Morris Lighthouse. Sitting on the roof is awesome with a great view of the marsh or looking across the street to see the ocean. Really enjoyed sitting in the screened in back porch rocking in the chair checking out the marsh. Neighborhood is beautiful and quit. Very relaxing hanging out on the dock in the back yard. Loved every minute of my stay at Stilted Views!!!!

We loved every minute of our stay here! Older home but clean and super comfortable beds. Spacious living room and seating for family movie nights. The views are beautiful. You are literally right across the street from the beach. It is a few miles from the center of town but a fun ride in a golf cart. We were hoping for more beach chairs and beach accessories or toys but there are a few things that are not in the best shape. You’ll need to bring, buy, or rent beach gear. Overall it was awesome, and we would definitely stay here again!

It was damp and cold in the house despite the thermostat saying it was 72. There were biting gnats or sand fleas in the front yard. Even though we were close to the beach low tide was really the only time you had a beach to walk on. We never really settled in because of these things. Not sure if was the weather or us but Folly Beach is not for us. It’s a nice beach house and certainly well equipped. Thank you for your hospitality.

We absolutely loved our stay. The location was perfect. We rented a golf cart even though we had a vehicle which made access to the island perfect. The views from every deck were gorgeous. Nothing blocked it. The house itself is not upscale which was exactly what we where looking for, I think is a great representation of the island. I would definitely stay here again and again.

My wife and I have stayed at many different rental properties on Folly over the past 10 years with the ultimate goal of finding the perfect spot for a great getaway for 6 people or less, and I think we’ve finally got the one. This rental property is even better than advertised! All of the views are nothing short of perfect! Not to mention such short walks to beach access, views of Morris Island lighthouse, and the early morning surf traffic made for an incredible stay. Top that with all the amazing different dining experiences to be had in Charleston from starting our day at The Lost Dog, bar hopping on Folly at Taco Boy and Rita’s (to name a couple of our favorites), casual dinners at Bowen’s Island, and amazing cuisine in downtown Charleston at S.N.O.B. and High Cotton, this is the ultimate low country coastal experience! We’re so excited to book our next stay here, and may even have to add an extra vacation to the budget this year just so we can revisit this perfect rental!

Stilted Views is a beautiful home with the best location on Folly Beach! Super quiet with amazing views from the many porches! The floor plan of the house is brilliant for each room to have views and all the amenities one could think of! The beach access is directly across the street and it is a quiet, less occupied end of Folly. The Washout is so fun to catch surfers riding waves, sunset is amazing and quiet mornings for enjoying the sunrise! beautiful walk to town on the beach and back! LOVED this house! Will definitely be renting again in the future! BEST beginning to 2022 I could imagine? Thank you or sharing your gem with us??

We had a great stay at this beach cottage. Loved the water views out of the front and back of the home. It’s actually got 4 bedrooms: a queen, a full, a king, and a small room off the king with a twin. The king has its own bath and access to the screened porch that overlooks the marsh. You have to walk through the small room with the twin to access the rest of the house. Not an issue for us since no one stayed in there. But, this is good to know in case you have privacy concerns for anyone who stays in there. House was very clean and well appointed. Very comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen. There were two small portable charcoal grills in the garage, a couple of beach chairs and a small kayak (no paddle though). Loved the rooftop deck. Super close to the light house. Would love to come back in the summer!

This house is great! The location is amazing. You're right across the street from the ocean (w/ ocean views!) where there's a walkway to the beach. Your also towards the end of the island where the beach is wide and it's quieter. The deck space is outstanding. It wraps all the way around the house. There's also a crow's nest deck and a screened in porch. The house is spacious and two of the bedrooms have sliding glass doors leading out to the decks. The marsh views out back are so pretty.There were plenty of linens, extra comforters, pillows, etc. They kitchen is fully stocked! It has everything. There's ample parking under the house and in the driveway. While this is an older home it's definitely well cared for. It had everything we needed and more. We'll be back!

We had a great stay! Drive golf carts to and from Center Street-about a 10 minutes drive. You get views of the sunset over the marsh on one side and the ocean on the other side. We loved it.

We had an amazing time in Folly! Stilted Views was a great! It was bigger then what we expected. There was 5 of us including 3 adult boys (18,19, & 20) everyone had their own room! One slept on the day bed. (The Mattress that was on the bottom was most comfortable) The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, the kids even made smoothies with the blender! The shower under the house was great for after being at the beach, especially rinsing off the dog! The boys actually started showering down there, with swimsuits on of course! Having a washer & dryer was awesome, a little loud. ???‍?? A lot of traffic to go to Morris Island Lighthouse. The house is far enough back that it wasn’t an issue. We rented a golf cart to drive into Folly, highly recommend to do that. Boogie boards, beach umbrella, small cooler, 1 beach chair & 2 regular lawn chairs were all available to use. The beach umbrella we only took one day with the regular chairs we couldn’t get it deep enough in the sand to not blow away. We loved the decks! Sitting on the front deck drinking coffee listening to the waves or glass of wine at night was nice! One son brought his hammock he had it on the top deck! The views from Stilted Views were amazing! Stilted Views exceeded our expectations! We will definitely be back!

Perfect size property and great location for our family of five - including three kids ages 11, 14, & 17. Easy access to a great beach that's never overcrowded (we were there over July 4th... and Stilted Views is far enough from the Folly Pier that there were no crowds on our stretch of beach). Easy to get to destinations of interest in Charleston area within about 30 minutes (plantations, downtown, Patriot's Point, Angel Oak, etc.). We also enjoyed some fun shops on the main road at the center of Folly Beach. Stilted Views is appropriately named - 360 degree views are excellent - including beach, marsh and Morris Island lighthouse. We rented bikes also (talk to Matty at Cool Breeze Bike Rentals) and rode them on a nice paved stretch of road at the very top of Folly where motorized vehicles can't go. Bikes are also excellent for the beach at low tide (sand is nice and compact). Only negative about Stilted Views is there's not any beach gear on hand at the property. If you're flying in (like we did), you'll either need to buy or rent chairs, canopies, boogie boards, etc. Also, make sure you bring your own beach towels.

We were really looking forward to our stay but had no idea that the views from all the different locations at the house were so incredible - especially the full moon waking us up in the master bedroom. Comfortable beds, furniture and well appointed - we had everything we needed for a nice relaxing vacation.

Stayed here with son and family with 2 kids ages 4.5 and 18 months. Loved the well stocked appliances in kitchen and the gates that locked on the stair entrances. Having both the creek / dock access with screened porch and the beach access right in front was the real draw- especially being able to see the waves from the dining area. Loved glass and plastic wine glasses- and plates as well for the little ones. My only complaint is the the coffee pot held 10 cups and no automatic timer to set for turn on/ off. Rental staff very accommodating and willing to please/ help when we had an issue with tv viewing. Will rent this place again, even for husband and me, just to remember our great times with family! Furniture is in great condition. Beds very comfortable!

We enjoyed our stay in Folly and and at stilted view. The house was really clean and much bigger than we expected. The kitchen was very well stocked for cooking and we loved the decks both of them. We would sit up on the top deck and enjoyed the sun rise and it was a short walk to the light house, also down on that end of the island it was very peaceful. We will plan to come back here on our next beach vacation.

Spent a long weekend here. It was amazing. The house was super, clean, and furnished well. Had a very relaxing, quiet weekend. I definitely would rent this house again. Folly's Best Rental was also super to work with and I so love the little gift bag that was dropped off!

My husband and I stayed at this property for three nights with our Chihuahua. We had a fantastic time. The house is in good condition and very clean. The back master bedroom is spectacular. Comfortable bed that overlooks the marsh for miles. You can also walk out your bedroom door into the comfortable screened porch or onto the deck. We enjoyed walking out onto the long deck overlooking the marsh every day. We sat on the front deck and had a great view of the ocean across the street. The kitchen is fully equipped and open floor plan leads into the dining room and living room at the front of the house. You can see the ocean from either of these rooms. We can't wait to go back!!

The property was in the perfect location for our family. We liked it being further from the bigger crowds at Folly. We love that it was right across from the beach but had a wonderful marsh view. The house was clean and comfortable with all the amenities we needed. It was great to find a house that would allow our dog. Thanks for the recommendation of places to eat. We were able to stay locally and entertain ourselves if we wanted, but it was also easy and quick to get to Charleston for a completely different experience. The property management company, Folly's Best Beach Rentals was also excellent an even brought us a welcome gift.
