North Bend By The Sea

We would love to stay at this location again. It is hard to find comparable rental properties with the beach access and accommodations that this home has for the price. We loved the easy access to the beach as well as the large deck area for enjoying the waves and views. Perfect location for a family gathering. Pet friendly is a huge bonus!

We were very happy with our stay. We had planned to go to Sapelo Island but there was a tragedy with 7plus people killed as they exited the ferry just before we were to board. So we were pleased to find a beach front place on short notice.

This was a beautiful and relaxing “sisters’ week”. The home is located a convenient 35 minutes from the city of Charleston and the airport. The beach was beautiful and easily accessible. The home was very clean, easy to find and enter. Besides all the mentioned amenities, toilet paper, garbage bags; paper towels; etc were all provided. The home provided plenty of seating areas; both inside and out. The beach chairs provided were unusable and we could not find beach towels, but we didn’t look very hard. Having a washer and dryer was a huge help. All kitchen appliances and tools were easily located.
We had a terrific, relaxing time and would definitely visit again.

Even though the weather was less than desirable for a beach vacation, we had a great stay at North Bend by the Sea. The property was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate 6 adults and 3 pups, being inside more than we’d wished. We would certainly be interested in a return trip!

We loved the cozy cottage! It felt like a Nicholas Sparks setting. Being beachfront is a privilege in Folly Beach and we soaked up as much as we could. The decor and finishes are a little dated, but to us it added to the charm. The highlight was watching dolphins go by from the upper balcony! Definitely would rent again.

Me encanto la casa, esta super bien equipada y la cocina genia. No necesitas llevar absolutamente nada ya que la cocina lo tiene todo. Los cuarto limpios y una terraza hermosa!! lo unico malo pero no le quita lo recomendable es que la coneccion a la playa esta lleno de rocas, solo tienes que caminar unos pasos para poder llegar a la playa . Esta en un area super tranquila. Si vas en plan familiar o de relajacion es la mejor opcion.

This house was just amazing!! Great parking, great house, great beach right at your back door. Only recommendation would be to add a floor plan to the pics, since we really didn't get a feel for how roomy the house was until we got there! It was truly so quiet and luxurious. Right on the beach, plenty of clean linens, welcoming bag with extra supplies. This was best vacation experience ever!

We spent five days together in this wonderful beachfront home and had an amazing stay. The trip was for my mothers 94th Birthday. The group included her children and grandchildren. The layout worked well for our group and the outside porches were wonderful. The weather was perfect, sunny and in the high 70’s everyday and we felt like we had a private beach.

Wonderful stay in Folley Beach while in town for the Cooper River Bridge Run. Place was very clean and well kept. Plenty of space... even with 6 kids! Host was awesome and very responsive. My favorite part... you cannot beat the view from the back deck. Perfect spot to watch the sunrise or sunset over the beach with a coffee. Looking forward to returning back to this property soon!

Although the bungalow itself is on the older side, owners have done an excellent job of maintaining the property. The upper and lower decks were amazing and being able to hear the ocean at night with the windows open (with heat or AC off) was amazing. This is a spectacular rental and well worth it. Make sure you take note of the wall upstairs with the beautiful German barometers!! As a caveat- The screens to the doors to the front porch and the screened porch need some attention (stripping and screen material are loose) so be careful. Also the guest commode (off the round table area) has a cover that needs to be replaced or reattached. Neither of these minor issues were of major concern while we were there and are only mentioned here as a heads up. We loved our stay here as did our pups and look forward to returning.

Very well situated on Folly beach. I liked the layout of the deck and the screen in portion. The house was roomy and clean. I liked the fact that soap and paper products were provided is an easy to find Fashion. October was a great time to visit as it was quiet and the beach was lovely. I wish we could have stayed longer and would recommend this property to friends.

For our family with six adults and four children this place right on the beach was perfect. We have stayed in Oregon and Maine and while each was special, this beach was the best in terms of swimming and playing in the water; being able to walk right out to the beach is unbelievable. House was great, tho since we are cooks, we bought and left a few cleaning supplies for the next guests. (And for cooks there are a few spices there.) Beds really comfortable, kitchen well equipped, staff at Folly's Best were great to work with--it was truly a perfect vacation.

As were the morning sunrises that we experienced. We had lots of fun playing the games and collecting seashells along the beach. We enjoyed good food at the Folly beach restaurants. A prime location for sure. If beach front is what you want, this is the place for you. The home is comfy and cozy, but could use some updates to lighting (very dark in the evening and with gray skies, not conducive to reading etc.), comfy lounging furniture (couch is awesome, but that's it for comfy seating), and a few extra blankets for those cold and rainy winter nights. Check in and out was easy. Drip coffee maker, so bring ground coffee (not K-pods). Comfy beds and pillows. The photos make it look like the ocean/beach is further out from the home than it actually is, but actually very close. We also had an issue with Folly's Best Rental after leaving when it was "assumed" that some damage to a coffee table was done by our dog, and they asked for an extra $200 for damages. When I emailed them back, including a photo of the living room, they discovered that it was the owner's dog that had done the damage and they had not been told about it. They were, however, most apologetic about their mistake and quickly removed this extra damage charge.

We generally host about two to three couples - more fun with a small group! This was our first time renting this particular house - and it's a hit. It was spacious, clean, well-appointed, and comfortable for the six of us, plus one dog. Not over-decorated. The large deck is lovely - so close to the ocean - and with direct access to the beach. Definitely our favorite - and fully hope to book it again next year.

This is a great house in a great location! The beach is wonderful. It would benefit from some cleaning out of closets and cabinets. The day we left, we were still finding things we might have used if we'd seen them earlier. We had a great time and would stay again.

This house was awesome, right on the beach, and very clean. Downtown Folly is about 3 miles away; and Charleston downtown is a good 30 minute Uber but it was worth it for this house. Staff at Follys Best was extremely helpful and accommodating. I'll be going back soon.

Six childhood friends from Michigan lived at North Bend for 5 days. This house was fabulous as the house was clean, comfortable and the view was amazing. We were able to get to Charleston easily and enjoyed the Folly Beach Community. PERFECT

Like Sherri C., I'm almost afraid to praise this house and its owners and management as much as they all deserve, for fear others will flock to this little corner of Folly Beach and crowd the rest of us out! We stayed with our son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter for about three days and just fell in love. The pictures honestly don't do the house justice -- it is a great combination of aesthetically pleasing and comfortable. Everything you might need seems to be provided, and although the town of Folly Beach is great fun, it's nice to be outside the main action. We were very fortunate to have had perfect weather, too.

We had 9 girls stay in May and we had a great time! The house was comfortable, right on the beach and just a short drive into Charleston for dinner Saturday! We would definitely come back again

Even though we had a very busy weekend schedule we couldn't have chose a better place to stay. It had everything we needed and more. Got to spend a little time with the family on the beach and we even saw a family of live starfish. (beautiful)! And I must add, me owning a cleaning business try not to examine other peoples homes so I that I don't make them uncomfortable. This house couldn't have been more clean especially for a rental. I had to check it out! Hats off to the cleaners. Don't ever lose them!! :-) Follys Best Rental was also great to work with! Quick to respond and answer any and all questions even the silly ones!! We look forward to staying at Northbend again!! I could on and on but don't want all the spots to be taken before we book again!! Thanks for sharing your home with us!! We enjoyed it very much!! :-)

This house was comfortable: well-appointed, good public and private spaces, and a lovely fireplace. Everyone enjoyed the comfy beds and sofas. We all enjoyed walking the beach with good walks to both the boardwalk and to the lighthouse. The porches were inviting, and the kitchen was well equipped.

Great house, perfect location on the beach! We enjoyed our stay very much on Folly Beach. The beach is gorgeous and the house comfortably slept 9 of us. The house was well equipped with everything we needed to cook and enjoy ourselves. Would definitely stay again! thank you!!

This house was awesome, right on the beach, and very clean. Downtown Folly is about 3 miles away; and Charleston downtown is a good 30 minute Uber but it was worth it for this house. Staff at Follys Best was extremely helpful and accommodating. I'll be going back soon.

Great, beachy cabin RIGHT on the water! A mile or so from the main part of the island, but didn't feel out of the way.

This beach house was a great place to house all the family members we had during the holidays and yet gave enough room to each family to have their own space. It was cozy and felt like home. It was perfect.

Six childhood friends from Michigan lived at North Bend for 5 days. This house was fabulous as the house was clean, comfortable and the view was amazing. We were able to get to Charleston easily and enjoyed the Folly Beach Community. PERFECT
