I had a great time here with my family! The house is spacious and comfortable! Great location, easy walk to the beach and restaurants/shops. Really enjoyed sitting on the rocking chairs on the front porch and having my coffee in the morning! Very peaceful. Hosts were very responsive and incredibly accommodating. We look forward to coming back! Five stars!

This is a wonderful house for a family! It is super close to the beach and an easy walk even for little legs. The house has great space for adults, and kids and the kitchen is well stocked. The grill was tiny, so keep that in mind if you plan to grill for a crowd. Overall, we would love to stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay at the property. We were essentially beach bums all week so the short walk to Folly Beach made the vacation fun and simple. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and dishes, and we made heavy use of it. The home accommodated all 8 of us easily. We would certainly return again in the future.

Absolutely wonderful!! Exactly as described, so much room, so close to the beach and the Main Street we could walk everywhere! The kitchen was fully stocked— even had a mini crockpot! If you go, DO NOT miss the after-beach shower in the back yard— absolutely amazing and the warmest water!! We didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to come back.

We had a couples weekend in Folly Beach with 3 other couples. The house was very clean and perfect for what we were needing, only a couple of blocks from all of the dining as well as the beach. We will check here first the next time we are looking for a Folly trip again!

The house and location suited our family perfectly. It was far enough away from the Main Street to keep things quiet at bedtime and a 3 minute walk to the beach. We plan to stay at this property again upon our return to Folly Beach! *We cooked two meals a day and found the kitchen to be well stocked with everything we needed in the way of dishes, pots and pans, and other small appliances.

First trip to Folly Beach and this house did not disappoint at all. It is 2 very very short blocks to the beach, around the corner from Burt's 24 hour market and a few blocks to the main drag in town. The location is just the beginning of what makes this place great. The house is spectacular with respect to its condition and what's included. The kitchen has everything you need, the porches and rockers are fantastic, beds were super comfortable, and the house is very well-appointed. Linens are included and as an added bonus, the rental company provides a nice start up package (laundry pods, paper towels, garbage bags, etc.) that was all that we needed. Really the house is move in ready and was absolutely perfect for 2 families with 2 kids each to share. Also, we were in the area to split time between the shore and Charleston and it was very easy to get into and out of the city from the area. Two thumbs up on this great property. What a great place to ring in the new year.

Lots of restaurant options, a great coffee shop and a little grocery store open 24/7. This was the fourth time we rented on FB and by far the best. It was the cleanest house we have rented anywhere ever, in addition to being well stocked, comfy beds, soft towels and plenty of room. We had minor plumbing issues that were promptly addressed without issue. Check in/out was a breeze. Will definitely be back!

Our family of 6 adults just loved this house! We stayed for 6 nights in May. We were pleasantly suprised by the cleanliness and overall look of the house. There was plenty of space for all of us with the 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, plus the roomy living/dining area. The kitchen was well-stocked and had all the supplies we needed to prepare our own meals. Additionally, the property management company supplied a perfect amount of "extras" for our stay of: dish soap/sponge, dishwasher soap, laundry soap, trash bags, paper towels, and bath supplies. Only a couple short blocks from the beach and a couple minute walk to a small neighborhood grocery store and the main street of Folly Beach. It was super convenient and close to restaurants. We definitely recommend this property!

The house was beautiful and perfect for our family while we were there for my graduation from MUSC. Walking distance to the beach was perfect and we loved sitting on the large porch. The house was very clean except only complaint was the downstairs toilet had a dirty ring in it when we arrived. Otherwise we had an outstanding time!

We stayed for 5 nights, the place was perfect! Parking was easy, everything was updated and clean. The neighborhood was so quaint and easy access to beach, and shops on the main street. Folly's Rental took very good care of us. My only issue was we were there 10 minutes before check in and we had to wait for timer on lock to let us in. After a 12 hour drive, and waiting an hour to get in house, I don't think 10-15 minutes should be an issue. There is a 35.00 fee for early check. Other then that, Folly's rental took very good care of us! Thank you.

We totally enjoyed our stay at McGee's Folly! What would make it even better would be if some beach chairs and towels were provided. We really missed having a grill that the owner might want to consider.
Other than that we had a wonderful time and plan to rent it again!

We truly enjoyed our time at McGee's Folly. It was a good balance because we could play games at the large dining room table but the spaciousness of the home and the porches allowed us to spread out as well. 

The walk to the beach is 2-3 minutes and Center street/town is only a 8-10 minute walk.

The apartment is nicer in person than in the pictures. We would absolutely stay again.

We had a great time with 4 couples staying in the house on a short vacation to Charleston and Folly Beach. Location was great with only a 2 block walk to the beach and a short walk to restaurants. Also a quick 20 minute drive into downtown Charleston. We found the kitchen large enough to cook and the dining area plenty large to accompany us. Check in and out was smooth and house was clean. Would definitely recommend staying here.

The house is a very clean, well maintained, and comfortable beach house. Up to date appliances and well equipped kitchen. Less than 5 minute easy walk to wide sandy beach. Three blocks, approximately 15 minute walk, to main street of Folly beach with shops, restaurants, and pier. Easy drive into and from Charleston.

I really can't write enough good things about McGee's Folly! The location is great, and the property itself is exceptional. Immaculately clean, tastefully decorated, and very spacious. There is only one caution I would provide for future guests, if you like using a lot of towels and don't want to be bothered with laundry bring some towels of your own to supplement the (really nice) towels that are provided.

We had a wonderful time during our stay at McGee's Folly. The house is amazing with great parking. There is a ton of space for everyone and it was very clean when we got there. The front porch is really where we all stayed the entire time. There are plenty of chairs with fans and lights. It is the perfect place to relax any time of day. There is a market, liquor store and local bar about two streets up, which is a very short walk. The main strip is only about three or so streets up. We were able to walk to dinner and the bars on the main strip and walk home. If you are looking for a place to stay on Folly's Beach and don't mind being one street removed from the beach, this is a great place to stay. The people who rent out the property are also great to work with. You will not be disappointed!

We have stayed in many locations along the East Coast for vacation but this home was the tops. We recently vacationed here and couldn't have been happier with this home and our stay in Folly Beach. The beach, downtown (great food and live music) and even a park for the kids are within walking distance. The house has a great floor plan with plenty of living of space for friends and family. The two front porches with all of the rocking chairs are a perfect place to have a morning cup of coffee or an evening cocktail. We are already planning a return trip for next year.

This home offers all you could ask for and more! My husband and I along with friends had the wonderful opportunity to stay herre in the spring. What a treat it was. We were so close to everything on Folly and in Charleston. The home is warm and inviting. The bedrooms were roomy and tastefully decorated. The best part of the home is the front porch and the rockers. What an opportunity for people watchers, A good cool beverage and the rocker is all you need for an evening's entertainment. The local restaurants are fun to visit as the locals are well known to the bartenders and to each other. This home is so comfortable and easy to enjoy. Can't wait to get back!

We are an older couple traveling with 4 college age young adults. This house was a nice size so we all had plenty of space. The house itself is in a perfect location. The beach is 2-blocks from the front porch. The beautiful and quaint town is a short walk of a few blocks. The house is on a quiet, and beautiful street. The neighbors in this area are very nice and friendly too. We liked the fact that once you get here, you can park the car at the house and walk to everything you need. We even walked to the local church on Sunday. The house is immaculate and you can tell that the owner cares about keeping everything in great shape. They have a wonderful kitchen that has everything you need and more. We picked up fresh seafood and cooked up some incredible meals here. The town itself seems peaceful and safe. I never worried about the kids being out-and-about on their own. The two porches facing the ocean are incredible. There is one on each floor. They are HUGE and it was extremely pleasant to just sit in a rocking chair of an evening, enjoying the ocean breezes. There is a modern washer and dryer to use and the owner left us with soap to use which was very nice of them. They did the same for the dishwasher (I was grateful we didn't have to hand wash dishes here). Anyway, we would highly recommend this house. It was a slice of heaven staying here :-)
