This property is an "apartment" that is attached to a main house via a separate entrance. We stayed with our 2 year old and had just enough space. There is one bedroom and one bathroom with a private beach access deck. Private but shared with the attached house. Step off the deck though and you're on the beach! Can't get any closer! The kitchen was stocked well and the property was clean. It does show it's age and will probably need updates soon, but overall is a great property. The owner was responsive when needed. The views are great. I would definitely recommend this property if you're looking for a beach getaway! Especially if you are a solo traveler, couple or (maybe) have a small child.

As I pulled in the driveway (a huge plus) I became a little concerned about staying. But I had an anxious 8 year old ready to play on the beach. Once I walked through the rustic wooden door/gate my concerns vanished. Zen earned its name. This place was perfect for my 4 night stay. There isn’t a washer/dryer and that’s not a complaint but could be an issue had I stayed longer . Beautiful view, tons of seashells, and perfect distance from restaurants and shops . Last but not least the air conditioning is perfect and the sofa is incredible ?

What a great place. Leave the door open to wake up and fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean. Take a Warm outdoor tub under the moon. We had such a relaxing and enjoyable time. Walk right off the deck to the beach. Apartment was clean with everything needed for an easy week. Found the price to be very fair for the view and access. Bed and shower were great and the entire dwelling was even more comfortable than the pictures represented. With gratitude.

Zen on the East End was absolutely fabulous! We loved that the entire yard was fenced as well as gates on the huge deck! The owners weren’t in town so we had the entire deck and yard to ourselves. The apt had a comfortable, clean king sized bed. The living room and kitchen were great as well! Ocean views galore!! It’s perfect for a couple and dog!! I loved that it was a quiet but easily accessible by golf cart. to the hopping center street!! We rented a golf cart for the 3 days and toured all over the island. We’ll definitely be back!!

We had a great time the place is right on the water and since it was offseason it was like having a private beach. There is a town 1.5 miles down the road that has shops, food, and live music that was perfect to get out at night. Close to Charleston as well. Would definitely stay here again.

This is the place to stay if you want privacy, a beautiful view, and a cozy place. We wanted a girls getaway and this was perfect! The view is gorgeous with a private deck and we were able to hear the ocean throughout the entire apartment. This is now my favorite place to stay in Folly Beach. We will be back!

My husband and I had a wonderful time @ Zen on Folly. The view was awesome and I loved being able to have the whole view of the ocean from the living room. We had the perfect view of the sunrise. The unit was very clean but was more like a loft/studio. It was perfect for us and our mini Golden Doodle. The lower unit was not occupied so we had the other 2 decks to ourselves. We will definitely be back! Absolutely loved it!

We loved our stay at Zen on Folly. Even though the weather was less than ideal, it did not matter because of the view and proximity to the ocean. The sight and sound of the waves is always present no matter where you are in this place. We felt very safe as my mother and I both are in high-risk categories and needed a getaway that was socially distant. We never wanted to go anywhere else the whole week. Everything was exactly as advertised. So quaint with lovely little homey touches. I hope we can stay here again another time soon

We absolutely loved our stay! The house was in excellent condition--clean, comfortable, and vibrant. The beach view/access was unbeatable. Even though this is an upstairs unit, there was no one else on the main floor so we had total privacy. We also appreciated the bathtub on the porch, the shower head for washing off sand on the lower deck, and the awesome three-head shower inside. Couldn't have asked for a better stay! I really enjoy my stay here. I fixed the auto shade for the center front window for the next guy. It’s right off the beach. Folks hit that beach but not overcrowded. It was fun watching surfers every morning from the porch and only about 1.5 miles to the pier if you want to visit there. I’m not thrilled about the extra charges from the property management company that organizes for the owner and that’s the only thing that would prevent me returning. If you can afford those fees then don’t worry and go for it. My child says “I really liked how squishy the bed was!”

Perfect size for a couple. I didn't realize how close to the Washout it was on the 13th block so the beach was much busier than we're used to but it was entertaining to sit on the top deck and watch all the surfers. Loved the record player and functioning tub on the deck. Parking spot/pad fit our large SUV. One of the only places we've ever rented that gives you more than enough bath towels for your stay.

Really beautiful place - what a view! A bit hard to get off island on a Sunday since no Ubers come down that way so I recommend Folly Cab service.

It is a nice place with beautiful beach views. Ample room for a couple. 3 flights of stairs from parking spot but only 2 to get to beach. Further from town center than we realized so we had to drive to get to the restaurants though if you have bikes it would be fine. Only 4 channels on the TV plus some kids channels. The blu ray and TV settings were not working well. Perhaps the remote batteries may have been low? It was a nice vacation spot in spite of the rain and cool weather.

The unit was exceptionally clean and functional. The upper deck is great. The 2 other decks are nice and shared. The lower unit was unoccupied and looks like it is used sparingly And is well weathered. The unit inside has been upgraded to modern standards. We will be back.

All in all a great experience. Will book again. AMAZING views from the deck. Amenities say it has a grill but does not.... unfortunately we shopped for groceries based on the amenities listed but that was the only bummer . Sheets were soft and comfortable. The shower was a wonderful suprise- had several shower heads was able to keep it running while deep conditioning my hair and stayed warm. No restaurants close by but the Uber costs about $8 a trip. The closest restaurant is about 25/30 min by foot.

An absolutely great location with terrific views of the beach right below the apartment. The kitchen was nice and the bathroom surprisingly well equipped. The apartment itself is somewhat dated and a bit tired but we felt the view and location made up for the minor condition issues.

We loved it! The deck space is wonderful. Coffee for sunrise on the deck was a treat each morning. Easy access to the beach. A few things need a little attention (slide gates on the decks, entrance gate and light) but overall we loved the setup. Was wonderful for our two dogs as well. Space in the fenced in area for quick doggie breaks was convenient. Property management was good to work with regarding a fridge repair that needed to happen, even getting it moved up so as to not happen on our wedding day. Cooking supplies are sparse but not a problem because we knew that on the front end and planned accordingly. Overall we loved at stay at Zen!

We loved our stay here. Beautiful ocean views in a quiet part of folly. Loved the deck gates, which made it a great spot for baby to play. Very limited clothing storage and minimal kitchen items.

My husband and I have stayed in many homes at Folly Beach. Typically we go down with more people and 2 animals in tow, necessitating a larger property. Zen on the East End will be our go-to for future getaways for 2 (or 4, if we opt to bring the dogs). 
The condo has an unobstructed view from the deck, a large comfy king bed and everything one needs for a pleasant stay. The space is laid out efficiently and includes a nice desk for those folks who do have to get some work done while away. The yard is fully fenced and decks are all gated, which is highly desired for those traveling with pets, which we do often.
Lastly, Zen is on the east end of Folly, which is our favorite part - near the washout. The folks at Folly's Best Rentals were all very warm and friendly, as well!

The view at Zen on East End is absolutely breathtaking!! My favorite part of the location of this rental was the view and sitting on the back deck listening to the ocean waves.

This apartment is right on the beach. We spent every morning on the deck watching the dolphins offshore and had a mere walk down the stairs to the beach. The space is lovely and decorated very stylishly with plenty of towels and a large comfy couch. There is a washer and dryer available as well as a keurig and a drip coffee maker, but no coffee or laundry detergent, so make sure to bring those if you’ll need them. Overall, we LOVED the space and the location and had a great time.

We’ve stayed at quite a few rentals on Folly over the years and we are absolutely in love with this property. It’s high over the beach so there’s ALWAYS a great breeze. Having your own private stairway to the beach is great! It’s so wonderful for 2people, which can be hard to find, the space is lovely and put to fantastic use. I prefer this end of Folly. The rental company went above and beyond to help make our stay fantastic, down to bringing a personal grill AND charcoal over! It was pristinely clean, and the views from the wall of windows is BREATHTAKING! Very nice towels and linens provided. We are always planning our next summers stay here! I can’t say enough good things!!!!!!!! Booking was a breeze from start to checkout. GREAT COMPANY! GREAT HOUSE!
