The Wubie Shack

The location of the Wubie Shack is the best part about it! It was quite convenient being a 1-2 minute walk from the beach walkover. A short bike ride to the main strip for dining and shopping was perfect as well.The home met all cleanliness standards, but it is in fact a shack, as it is aptly named, and some of the interior upkeep seems to have fallen by the wayside. We were still met with enough supplies, comfy beds, and a great place to stay.

We made a last minute, same day booking and the lady who answered my call from management company at 10:00pm was very sweet and helpful with getting us our check in instructions. I was so thankful for the great customer service! The yard was beautiful. Great amount of parking space. We loved being closer to the waves, walkable to the beach, and further from the noise on Center Street. If you bring your pup, I would recommend bringing a dog bed as there were no rugs in the bedrooms or comfortable places for pups to lay - understandable for a clean rental. Great stay, we would stay here again!

The Wubie Shack was in a quiet location of Folly Beach with only a short walk to the beach. It had everything you needed for a short stay. The staff at The Best Rental was helpful and dropped by with a tumbler for me and tennis balls for the dogs. I recommend this airbnb for your stay in FB.

The cottage was cozy and warm plus truly a 5 minute walk to the beach access. While it is not the fanciest place you could stay, it is clean and has everything you need. I'd rather not have a picture perfect place and be able to afford it, which is what this was for me. I felt warm, safe, and surrounded by beautiful trees with the ocean very close by. I would definitely stay here again!

This was a great little house in a great location. You could walk just over the street to the beach which was great. We brought our dogs and they felt comfortable as there wasn’t a lot of traffic in the area or loud noises.

Wubie Shack was a great pet-friendly house. It was the perfect location for access to the beach and the city of Charleston. My son, our small dog and I stayed for about a week. The house is equipped with all needed utensils in the kitchen. There were a few days of bad weather, so we cooked a good bit. The beds were comfortable. The house was very clean. It’s a good size for a couple or small family.

This was a lovely little place, small and simple, but very clean. Beds are comfortable. Love having TVs in the bedrooms. There were several cosmetic issues but nothing that affected functionality. However it would seem for the amount of rent charged they could afford to fix these issues. None of it would keep us from staying here again though. It's 11 blocks to Center St where all the restaurants, stores, etc are, but not a big deal for us as we always rent a golf cart. And it's not far at all to the beach! Overall very pleased with The Wubie Shack!

The house, Wubie Shack, is located very close to the beach. Maybe a 3 to 5 minutes walk. But you are 1.5 miles from the nearest coffeeshop, and walking on Folly Beach is a risk. There are no sidewalks until you reach the downtown area and the streets are very narrow. Then the parking. OMG. But once you are downtown, plenty of restaurants, shops and watering holes. The locals are helpful and friendly. I think I would love to come for Christmas.

Since we did not stay in the house shown because of maintenance, stayed in a hose on West Ashley for an additional cost. It was well worth it. A bright an airy beautiful home 5 minute walk to the beach. You could see the beach in the formal living room. My best friend and I felt safe and had a relaxing time.

I stayed here for a long weekend with my boyfriend and it was exactly what we were looking for- Driveway for parking, steps to the beach, comfortable beds and clean! It’s far enough away from the action of Folly so noise is definitely a non issue. Highly recommend renting bikes or a golf cart to easily get from the bars and restaurants back to the place. Was so lucky to be here in the warm months with some decent surf. We’ll be back!

The Wubie Shack is adorable- cute, very clean and super close to the beach! We were only in the house for sleeping, but I think it would have been perfect for cooking, hanging out on the deck, etc. Wish we could have stayed longer!
