Reel Blessed made us feel exactly that way... blessed. Being so close to the Washout I was a bit apprehensive about the noise/ privacy factor. But this home was an oasis. Whether in the home itself or sitting out on the dock it provided the peaceful relaxation we so desperately needed. And seeing dozens of flocks of birds flying through in the mornings was just an incredible moment each time we saw them.

We loved everything about our stay! The property was extremely clean, beds were comfy & it was well appointed with everything we needed. My boys loved fishing on the dock every day and the views were so beautiful. My only suggestion would be to put some black out curtains in the bedrooms, as it’s extremely bright in the mornings. Otherwise, our stay was perfect & we will be back!

House was perfect. Only a few 100 feet from the beach can easily be walked. Marsh side is great with amazing sunsets. Master Br was big, double bed room decent since and the queen bed room a tad small but you’re not there to be in the rooms. This end of the beach is not very crowded at all!! Plenty of beach space!

Comfortable house, great lazy boy sofas and loungers, nice bedding. Lots of games and large TV. Great location between inlet and beach. Beach was about 1.5 blocks walk and easy. Kitchen well equipped and showers are large. Porches convenient for sunset viewing and good sunny spot in the mornings. Could use more porch furniture, some beach chairs and towels.

The place and location were beautiful. It was very close (5 min walk) to the beach. It is also Pet Friendly. Even though there were other houses very close by, it was a very peaceful location, and the private boardwalk to the Marsh was just beautiful! The house is comfy. The host was very responsive and also provides a few cleaning supplies for you to use during the stay, and that was great! We had a wonderful time.

Wonderful stay! The pictures don’t even do it justice. The view of the marsh is just spectacular. The most beautiful sunsets you’ll ever see! The piers are so beautiful to see and a variety of birds are abound. The very short walk to the beach was perfect and the beaches were not crowded - as mostly for the residential folks. Surfers came around dusk and it was so enjoyable to watch them. There’s a partial ocean view from the front and you are close enough to hear the ocean from the deck. The downtown area is a short drive away. Personally I would have preferred more patio furniture on the top deck, although there is plenty on the ground level, mostly because you couldn’t peel me from the views at the top deck. A crab trap would be great too. The interior was very clean, and lots of linens and household items from the mgmt company. It was our first time at Folly Beach and we will definitely be back - and we won’t stay anywhere else but this beautiful home again! 11/10!!!

Fantastic location, directly across from beach access and your own personal pier/dock. Perfect house for our family of five. Charleston and other attractions are very close, 20 minute drives. Folly itself is a fun funky little beach town full of personality and really good restaurants to choose from. We spent half our time in Folly on the beach and the other half venturing into Charleston and other attractions such as Shem Creek and Magnolia Plantation. Highly recommend this house and location.

This house is the best house we have ever stayed in at Folly Beach and we have stayed at a lot of them. The location is quiet and the pier is awesome. I learned so much about the wildlife in the Folly River from the dock that it made it well worth the stay. I wish we could have stayed here a month and I am usually ready to come home in 3 or 4 days.

This house is amazing: spotlessly clean, with everything in excellent working order. All appliances new or like new. Mattresses and pillows fresh and comfortable. No worries about a thing. But it is the location that is truly extraordinary: close to the Washout, but tucked away down a little dirt road, on a little cul-de-sac with several other houses (the neighboring houses are closer than I thought they would be, but that's not a problem, especially in the off-season). The best of all, though, is the very long dock, shared with the house next door, through the marsh and to the river. Incredible place to admire the sunset and a panoramic view of the horizon (including both Morris Island and, farther in the distance, Sullivans Island, lighthouses). You can watch the sunrise from the front of the house, over the ocean, and the sun set on the back of the house, over the river! You can hear waves crashing on the front side and marsh birds on the back side... at the same time! WOW!!! As if all that weren't enough, the folks at Folly's Best (Mike, William) were terrific to work with. Our booking ended up being a little complicated and they were very courteous, professional and helpful about it all, not to mention very good about communication. A pleasant, functional experience all the way around. In short, if you want a super clean, super comfortable, super functional house, in a secluded but not remote location, a house allows you to enjoy both the ocean and the river, look no farther. This is a very special place. Highly recommended.

The house was in a very quiet neighborhood approximately 2 miles from downtown Folly Beach and a short drive to Charlestown. The house was very comfortable for our group of 4 and would accommodate 6 to 8 people comfortably. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would rent again if we are ever back in the area. The canal is on the property and the ocean is just across the street which were both very convenient. Bring your own coffee, creamer, spices and 2 ply TP, only 1 ply provided.

We wished there was an outside shower with hot and cold water so we did not bring as much sand into the house. Of course we used the hose. The doors in the house stick a little and one door was separating at the top. Other than that it was beautiful.... sunsets beach relaxing deck lovely dishes, ample glassware, we just loved it we had a wonderful weekend.

This home was actually nicer in person than in the pictures. It was stocked with plenty of cookware: to prepare meals. Management left a supply of all the necessary household essentials. The views were amazing! Watching the native birds fish in the marsh each morning is really something special. My family would love to stay here again.

This property was perfectly located… We had the dock with a beautiful view at the back of the house and the beach was across the street. About a two minute drive to the restaurants and shops. The house is well kept and nicely furnished. Lots of outside chairs and a few beach chairs. The location of the house is down the island a bit, away from the hustle and bustle around the pier. Several options for eating and a small grocery store down by the pier. Easy to get to Charleston and the airport--travel time depends upon the time of day. There was an issue with the house that we noticed when we arrived. We contacted the owner and he came over and fixed it immediately. A couple of areas that could be improved: (1) there were no salt or pepper shakers--don't remember reading that anywhere and (2) no corkscrew.

Well appointed accommodation with a great location especially if the intent is to just enjoy both the marsh and the beach. Easily accessible to Main Street Folly but removed enough that serves as quite launch point for walkable beach exploration/play. The deep water dock is great as well affording access to watch the birdlife etc of the marsh up close.

This was our first time visiting Folly. Home is in a great location - very close to beach that is never crowded - only 2 miles to downtown shops and restaurants. 30 minutes to Charleston. House was clean and everything was exactly as described in the listing. Owner is very responsive. This is very relaxing place to spend a vacation. Golf carts are definitely the way to travel on this island- we rented one for the week and you have a place to park it under the house, so it is dry and shaded.

This house was the perfect getaway for me and my friends. We wanted a relaxing trip to a beach that wasn't crowded and that is exactly what we got. Will return again. The owner was very easy to communicate with before arrival and we didn't have any issues during our stay.

We had a great time! We highly recommend this house. The owners respond quickly and are friendly. The house is clean and updated. The dock is well maintained. The street is not busy. We felt safe and comfortable the entire stay. My kids and I enjoyed skateboarding to the downtown area every evening and surfing all day. It is a great place.

The pier and dock were so much fun for exploration and discovery time, when not at the beach. The house was located off of the main road, which made it safe and quiet. The walk to the beach was easy, even with 3 kids. Loved the views from the deck and the spacious living room and kitchen. Owners were very accommodating and responsive. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. Our 3, 9, and 10 year old kids still talk about our vacation everyday and we've been home for a month!

The views of the river from the rear and ocean from the front are inviting and ever changing, offering opportunity for relaxation and interesting conversations. We had a fabulous time and will definitely want to stay here again.

The house is well appointed and easily accessible to the beach as well as the dock if you wish to fish or have a boat. Homeowner is very willing to accommodate if anything is needed in addition to supplies already available. Property was clean and the views are outstanding.

My brothers and I had a great time! A perfect sized home for us 3 with plenty of Southern activities. The private dock is absolutely the best part! At the end of the dock, you can fish, set traps for crab, kayak and plain enjoy the marsh/river view. In the front, a short walk to the beach. The views from the home are excellent and invite sunset drinks and star gazing in the evening. Ideal for small families or parties. Neighbors were great. Nice private location. We plan to make a yearly trip back and will definitely be staying in this home again!

This home was perfect for our week-long vacation. My family of four met up with my parents and all six of us were very comfortable in this clean and well-appointed home. The beds were extremely comfortable, as was the living room furniture. The kitchen was well equipped and the views are spectacular. I was pleased to find things like salt and pepper and toilet paper (things I always forget to pack and lots of beach houses don't have) in the cupboards. The house is a quick walk from the beach, but we rented it because it has a boat dock. My children enjoyed fishing off the pier and the dock, and we took the kayak out on occasion and saw lots of dolphins in the back bay. The shaded space underneath the house has a grill and a porch swing with a dining table, and is a nice spot for dinner. The owner of the home gave us his contact information and made himself accessible, but all of the instructions were very clear so we never needed to contact him for anything because everything we needed was there. We enjoyed our stay and definitely hope to return!

What a great house! My family had the best vacation to date. This house is everything that it is said to be and more. We plan on making this our summer vacation house each year and maybe a few times during the year. Lol We loved it and they had everything that you could possibly need. This house was just perfect for our needs. I stayed with my mother-in-law and niece and they both loved the view from the living room. Nana could sit in a recliner and spend all day watching the birds while enjoying the beautiful view of the ever-changing marsh. The house is close enough to Charleston that we were able to pop into the city for a carriage ride and lunch. We saw dolphins in the marsh and starfish on the beach. The house is clean and well stocked and the owners are very accommodating. I would definitely stay again at Reel Blessed.

We really enjoyed our spring break trip to Folly. Husband and kids enjoyed fishing from dock and we all had fun on the beach just across road. The house was clean and well maintained, very comfortable furnishings.

Location: This property lived up to its billing. It took us all of two minutes to walk to the ocean beach on the south side. We wanted to get to know Charleston, but we also wanted to get away too. This location is an easy 20-minute drive to downtown Charleston; yet it is very quiet. Amenities: Good TVs and WiFi; excellent kitchen dishes, pots, pans, and tools for us to cook fresh fish. Service: Owners were very responsive to our questions and promptly refunded our security deposit.

We two families stayed at this home for three nights and really enjoyed the time there. Great locations near both beach and the river where we got ~50+ crabs, believe or not!! The house had all things needed and fishing stuff on the pier very handy. The only thing we felt would be better is to supply beding in future. The owner has been very helpful and answered my questions promptly before we were heading there. We liked it and definitely consider it for our next year vacation! Thanks, Todd.

This house is in such a perfect location with a breathtaking view of the marsh and views of the ocean with super easy access to the beach. Comfortable super clean house with updated decor and furnishings, comfortable beds and couches, beautiful views from the three sets of French doors in the large family room, a spacious deck, great sitting area under the house which was an extension of the living space for us, outdoor shower head, and so, so much more. The dock is amazing, too, with access to multiple kayaks and plenty of area to sit and fish, crab, or just soak up the view. A week was definitely not enough!

Loved the house and dock. No problems getting my boat (17' Scout) in or out at low tide. House was nice and clean so my wife loved it. In the supplied kayak, My wife and daughters got within 5' of a dolphin showing off in the water out from the dock. Fishing was a little slow in the Folly and other rivers, but we did manage to catch some Reds, trout, flounder, and a few Bonnethead Sharks. We'll be back!

Reel Blessed was a perfect place for our family to enjoy our time together. We enjoyed every aspect of the home and the location. The dock is a huge plus and the beach is literally less than 150 steps away! The owners were very friendly and helpful in answering all of our questions. Looking forward to our next visit.

This was a lovely home with a great layout. Two bedrooms connected with a bath was great for the younger folks in our group. The deck was a great place to hang out and relax with a beautiful view of the river. Was a great spot with the beach right across the street. It seemed to be a big place for surfers. I am glad we were able to find such a perfect fit on Folly Beach. If we come back to the island we would definitely look to stay at Reel Blessed. Helpful hint: sand gnats are killer this time of year (early April). Have bug spray handy!!!

Our Stay at Folly was wonderful. We were in Charleston for a Wedding and decided to include a stay at Folly Beach because I had heard so many wonderful stories about Folly Beach. Our stay was near perfect, our house was great and the beach was beautiful. Our family came from Texas, Georgia and Washington D.C. It was a great way to end our summer..... family time in a beautiful setting. We will be coming back!

We loved this property. It was a slice of Heaven with the beautiful private doc right out the back door and the view of the ocean just two minutes walking distance. We were having our last family vacation before our son left for the Navy and we became Empty Nesters. Both my 21 year old and 19 year old asked if this home could be our annual family vacation spot. Home was very clean and space was perfect for 7 of us.

We just got back from staying at Reel Blessed and can't say enough good things about this property. We wanted a nice, clean cottage close to the beach that we could use for beach time and also as a hub for exploring Charleston over a long Spring Break weekend. We found a perfect match. The cottage is on the marsh and is an easy 3 minute walk from the beach. The neighborhood was quite (except for some rambunctious sea gulls) and is an easy 20-25 minute drive to the heart of Charleston. The place was very clean upon arrival and had a well equipped kitchen. The owners were a breeze to work with and made this a very easy experience.

Third year in a row that my college buddies and I have stayed. Great facilties. Fishing, swimming, crabbing, kayaking - couldn't be better! I use their floating dock for my power boat. A perfect fit for us. Also, owners were very understanding when the boat had engine problems and I needed to leave it tied to dock beyond our stay until I could get it repaired. Will be back next year.

Enjoyed a very welcoming, comfortable home to relax and enjoy all the amenities provided! We were able to utilize our boat every day from the private dock. Sunrises and sunsets were awesome. Walking to the beach was so easy and close. The house was so well maintained and had everything we needed, we felt like it was our own! Thanks so much for sharing your beach paradise with us.

Loved the Salt Marsh out back with pier. The Atlantic just 150 yds away. Very short walk. Nice low density beach. Very cute house. Even caught shrimp off the pier. Lots of wildlife. Visited Bull Island, which was an adventure. Saw Dolphins quite a few mornings. Folly is a cool town too.

This house was nice and clean. The dock with the incredible 750 catwalk and the tides coming and going were beautiful! The blue crabs were awesome! There are crab pots and a steamer that worked like a charm. The two person kayak was fun! Short walk to the beach, not crowded at all. It was great.

Outstanding, it is the best rental property I have rented. When it comes to views, wildlife, and the stuff they have to use. Great home for a single family or any couples. You have complete access to the beach and innner coastal water ways. Will be staying there again in the future. If you rent this place please take care of thier property which they allow you to use so it will be there to use the next time someone rents it.
