Can’t say enough about the ocean view, it was stunning. On the morning of check out, from the deck, we saw dolphins swimming! House had all you needed. Beds were comfortable. The screen porch was a lovely, unexpected, surprise! We visited three local spots in our short day and a half there and they were all excellent! Would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful stay over the Thanksgiving holiday with our family. The house was very nice and the view was gorgeous. The outside deck was a great place to relax. The only negative we have is The Best Rental's rules requiring anyone entering the property to be listed on the agreement. We were visiting our son in the area and he had to be listed on the agreement just to be permitted to visit. This makes it difficult to visit family in the area if they are not allowed to come by for a visit.

Our first visit to Folly Beach, SC. This property is adjacent to the boardwalk out to the beach, such easy access. Enjoyed the sun room that looks out onto the beach and collects up the warmth of the sun all day. Handy outdoor shower under the house and a hose which was great for cleaning sand and salt off our dog after daily romps in the surf. I am missing our time there already. Only drawback to the property is that two of the three bedrooms have twin beds. Not so good if you have two couples vacationing together.

Stayed at "Me, the sea, Bobby McGee". Location could not have been more perfect. Beautiful private deck overlooking the ocean, beach access practically via the backyard, full private shower under the house for easy sand wash off when coming in from the beach. Extremely convenient and comfortable for our group of 5 (plus our toddler). Sunroom with full view of the ocean was fantastic to have an air conditioned group breakfast. Will definitely be back again.

Stayed at "Me, the sea, Bobby McGee". Location could not have been more perfect. We really enjoyed this place. The private back deck was amazing. The house was so close to the beach access. The kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. It Felt very home like. Few things I would say in the fix column would be about updating the appliances. Our TV box wouldn't work in the master bedroom, however they did promptly bring us a Roku stick and resolved the problem. I would have liked the smart TV option in stead, like the kids had in their bedroom. Was very spacious and comfortable and would recommend.

My wife and I stayed for 5 nights and had a fantastic time. The weather was phenomenal so we were on the beach or on the deck all day and into the evening. Bedrooms, bathrooms and ocean view dining area were great. The only drawback was the “common area” and fireplace furniture - it felt like a disjointed hotel lobby with too much big stuff. Keep the couch in front of the fireplace but perhaps some brighter /lighter furniture would make indoor time much better. Otherwise - this place is great.

We love Folly Beach in the winter! It is so wonderful to explore a beach town when it’s at its quietest. This home sits on a road behind the main drag, right in the beach so all you hear is waves and no road traffic. With a big deck perched high enough to see over the dunes and a screened in porch, there are plenty of places from which to enjoy the view. It was just two of us but the set up would be great for families or group of friends.

House definitely needs refreshing, dishwasher works but not installed properly. TV in guest bedroom does not work. All the umbrellas are broken. Shrubs around the back of the house all need cutting and shaping as they block part of the ocean view when sitting. Otherwise the views were stunning.

We drove in at night, walked right to the front porch and listened to the waves under a starry sky. Perfect location. Make sure to get groceries before hand. The strip can get crowded unless that’s the action you’re looking for (smile). Very cozy.

We absolutely love this home! It was just my husband and myself and our pup. We decided we wanted to see the Christmas lights on James Island and decided to make it a mini vacation. We had all of the food we needed. The home has a well equipped kitchen so we were able to cook all that we took. We were right on the beach, so there was a lot of beach walking. Our dog had never seen the ocean before; can I just say I have never seen her run backwards so fast. That water was not going to get her. She did love her walks on the beach. The layout of the home was really great. We used the fireplace at night but also sat in the sun room, on the deck and screened porch during the day. We really enjoyed all of the spaces in the house. I would love to go back. Thank you so much for opening your home to us and allowing our pup to come. Nala loved every minute of being there.

It was so hard to leave at the end of our week there! This house had everything we could want. As soon as I walked in the door the first time and saw the ocean through the windows I was in love. The house was very clean and comfortable. The deck(s) had a brilliant layout so there was sun, shade or even a screened in area if you get a bit of rain. Super easy to walk down to the beach. Since we were there in the time of Covid we didn’t go out much but fortunately the kitchen was stocked with literally everything we could possibly need to cook great meals. I would love to come back again.

The house was very clean and the location was fabulous. This was only a weekend getaway. I would love to return for a longer stay. The only thing that was a negative was the ongoing beach nourishment program which wouldn’t allow us to use the convenient beach access. We had to walk down about 8 houses to get on the beach. Wish we would’ve known this before booking.

This was my 3rd visit to Folly Beach and 3rd time renting a private beach home with my 3 kids (9, 11, 14yrs at this time). This was our first stay in this home and I have to say it was the BEST home we've found on FB! This home is perfectly located right on the beautiful and spanning Folly Beach. The home itself is so nicely kept, clean, and organized I could not find a thing to complain about. Of all the homes we've rented this was our favorite. We typically come prepared with our own soaps, detergents, toilet paper, paper towels, ziploc bags, garbage, etc, etc, but this home is stocked and ready for you when you arrive. You literally need nothing but your groceries! The home provided bath and beach towels, linens, toilet paper/paper towels, garbage bags, dish/hand soap, etc not to mention how incredibly well stocked the kitchen is for all types of food prep, and cooking/baking needs! The home was so clean and neat and such a great space laid out perfectly for our needs. The deck was so amazing and a wonderful place to lounge and listen to the waves while eating our lunch and dinner. TVs in every room, CLEAN bathrooms, this house appears to have had some great updating and it's shows that they love their home and take great care of it. Access to the beach is literally steps and the drive to local restaurants is less than 5 minutes. Drive to Charleston is less than 20 min. It is located next to a public beach access walkway which was absolutely not issue or inconvenience, we stayed mid June and the beach was never overcrowded. I hope this house is available every year because this will be our first choice for every family vacation. We had no problems, no complaints, and didn't want to leave. My daughter and I are both very "OCD" (organized people) and the owner of this home is too, with binders of info and instructions if needed, things laid out in the home easily located and understood. I can't say enough great things, truly loved and appreciated our time in this home. It's a very cozy home but much roomier than the pictures may imply. I promise you won't regret it, this house exceeded all my expectations. Thank you Anna!

We had a fabulous stay! Everything we said “I wonder if they have...”. THEY HAD IT! We felt at home immediately. The home is very spacious and very well laid out. Looking for a place to celebrate our anniversary, I saw this heavenly home on the VRBO site...we stayed 2 weeks making leaving was so difficult. Anna was wonderful to deal with from the beginning of our adventure until the day we left. Her home is very tastefully decorated, giving a cozy, "home" feeling with the most incredible view of the Atlantic. I found myself waking up every morning at 6 am just so I could sit in the sunroom with my coffee, watching dolphins, sea gulls & early morning surfers.....we were the first to use her spacious new deck......the house was fully stocked with every imaginable amenity. We loved being there so much that we rarely ate out but when we did ,we found the restaurants to be fantastic! Thank you so much Anna for allowing us to enjoy your piece of Heaven... Just returned from a week in this wonderful property. Upon unlocking the front door for the first time everything exceeded my expectations. The cottage is spacious enough for 3 adults and 2 children we had with us, everything is nicely decorated and in great condition. Anna thinks of everything, from the personalized welcome note to the extra towels and beach chairs. The outdoor shower and tankless water heater were great to ensure the kids came in sand free and the adults had plenty of hot water to shower as well. The beach access is as simple as it gets and was never very crowded. The best part of this property has to be the giant deck facing the ocean. It's the perfect place to start the day with a coffee and end it with a cocktail. You're about a mile and a half to town and parking in town is challenging, so if you have bikes I would recommend them for trips into town for ease. I would recommend the property to anyone looking to have a nice, quiet vacation. I'll certainly be booking again next year.

We have stayed in many beach front properties over the years and this is by far, the best one! The house is clean and furnished nicely. There is plenty of room to spread out or all hang out together. I spent the majority of my time on the beach (just steps away), on the large deck, or in the awesome sun room. We had three teenagers with us and they enjoyed the close beach location and easy access to town in the golf cart we rented. Anna has thought of everything. Very cozy house with a fantastic view. I started missing it the minute we had to pull away and head back home.

One cannot ask for a nicer home to enjoy on the beach! Charleston is only 20 minutes away but we really never wanted to leave our beautiful beach cottage. All of the amenities are here - an upscale kitchen, deck for dining or reading, luxurious linens and a sun room with fabulous beach views. The decorations and artwork in the home give it a very cozy and personal touch that we especially appreciated. Also, hanging out at the beach was so easy with a collection of chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and towels to choose from. The owner is extremely attentive and goes out of her way to provide add'l info when asked. She really knows how to make a vacation rental feel like "home". We have been renting this house on and off for the past 10+ past years and we are in love! I fly home from San Francisco and make the drive down with my parents from Milwaukee. The house is clean, spacious, and the perfect beach retreat. I don't believe that the indoor showers are ever used during our stay! The owners are always extremely accommodating and lovely to deal with. Our stay at Folly is the one vacation that we look forward to all year. We just booked for this year and cannot wait!

We are so happy we found this lovely beach home and were able to work out a long term stay. 5 and a half months my wife and I called this home with our two teenage boys. The owner/manager was always available and accommodating. The home has ample parking both on the property and surrounding. We were able to truly enjoy living at the beach. Both a serene and social location if you like. We spent mornings and afternoons watching the gulls, dolphins, and I must say even though I was in town working from out of state, the minute I walked in, I felt like I was on vacation every day. It was also located far enough away from downtown Folly to miss the drive thru traffic, but close enough to enjoy the many planned festivities through out the year. We were so lucky to find this family for a long term stay during the off season. As a local, I still think this is the best time to enjoy Folly. Many homes on Folly are full time residents who call it home everyday. I think like Michael and his family, it makes them feel like they are on vacation everyday!

This is an excellent property to rent. It is exactly as advertised and very well supplied. We rented the house to celebrate moms 80th birthday (she lived on folly beach 60 years ago) and we wanted her to have a wonderful time at the beach-mission accomplished. The owner was great to work with. Very highly recommended!

We are thrilled that Julie and her family had a great birthday celebration at our house and we could be a part of some Folly Beach memories. Fall rentals give us a little more flexibility and her family was able to stay an extra night than they had planned. I'm glad they still had a good time since it rained ALL day of that extra day!

We spent 4 nights in this lovely home, it was clean, the beds were comfortable, we found everything we needed in the kitchen, some days were cold and raining and the heat and the fireplace made it quite cozy and warm, then one day was 76 and we opened the windows and doors and listened to the surf. A great location, close enough to easily walk to town, far enough that we felt justified in having tacos when we got there. And far enough that we hardly saw anyone else at our end of the beach. We spoke with the owner many times prior to leaving, they were unfailing nice and helpful. We were a party of 4 adults with very different interests and likes and all of us would go back to this house and recommend this house to others. It was perfect, I'm certain we'll stay here again.

Big thank you to the DGS group for such a warm review that proves summer is not the only time to enjoy Folly Beach. Must admit we were a little leary about booking a vacation home online, however this home was everything it advertized it would be. The home was clean, cozy and comfortable. There was a problem with the dishwasher and the owners were there the next day and a new one was delivered and installed. We would definitely recommend this property to our friends, however we might keep this little slice of heaven all to ourselves.

Like some of our other new Homeaway friends, the "surfer family" was attracted to Folly Beach for its surfing reputation. We are glad they were not disappointed!

Our stay at this cottage was one of the most wonderful vacations we have ever had. Very spacious and great view of the beach. Owners are very accommodating. House is very clean and well maintained. We stayed out at the beach for a week and got married that Saturday on the beach. We had a small reception with friends and family on the spacious deck. It is an experience we will never forget.

We found this property to be warm, cozy and family friendly. It was the perfect spot for two wonderful weeks at the beach. The owners seemed to genuinely care that everything was in working order and that we enjoyed our stay. We would definitely recommend this rental as the perfect place to kick back, relax and enjoy the beautiful beach of Folly Island.

This is a true Charleston Beach House on front beach. You are close to the center of town (a little over a mile )but far away from the noise and crowds. Wonderful outside deck to enjoy the ocean view and sounds when the weather is good and a bright sunroom to enjoy the view when the weather is not good. This September will be the sixth time we have rented this house. The owners are a joy to work with and give you true Southern Hospitality. See you next year!!!

This house is spacious, full of great light, has a wonderful layout, and just perfect for a get away of any length. The location is fantastic. That morning coffee on the deck with the Atlantic just yards away is like a dream come true. The furnishings are extremely comfortable and the house is spotless. We just loved this house and only wish we could return more often! Highly recommended!!!
