Location, location, location! The beach was beautiful and loved we were walking distance to all the town amenities. Only complaint was the noisy air conditioner units outside the bedroom window. Would stay again based on the location alone!

Loved it being right on the beach. Everything was in walking distance. Didn’t drive while we were there except to go sight seeing one day. Grocery store one block away and restaurants were 2 blocks away. Very nice place to stay. The wife is already to go back in January.

The place was as described! The location was perfect for an easy walk to everything including the beach. The only complaint would be the noise at times from the condo above. Other than that the stay was perfect for my family of three!

We were so impressed with this condo and with the property management. It was a beautiful place and very clean. The convenience was the best part. We were right at the beach and the pier and convenient to everything around us. Any correspondence we had with the property management was very polite and efficient. This was the perfect stay. So peaceful and such a nice little space. The only complaint would be that the bedroom doesn’t seem to pump as much heat as the living room so it was a tad chilly. That was so minor though and I mean it when I say, everything was perfect.

I love being able to sit out and enjoy the view/walk the beach as well as pretty much walk wherever we go to get food or the convenience store. Great place to stay for 2 and our 2 dogs! View of beach is great! Location is great! Walking distance to everything. Only negative is you can hear the people walking or clogging upstairs LOL and neighbors dogs. We are dog people so this didn’t bother us. Be sure to have ear plugs and eye mask on hand. Great stay for the price and place was clean. We received a welcome bag with necessities, very nice, and we received a Christmas gift. Would rent again.

We have spent several vacations in Folly Beach. This was our first time in this condo and it was convenient to everything we needed. The management even came by to say hello. Only bad mark is we happened to be next to all the AC units for the building.

Location is EVERYTHING! What a treat it was to be right on the ocean with our own access point. The space was actually bigger than pictures made it seem which was a nice surprise! The amenities were great, staff was super friendly and accommodated our late check out with no issues! Location is great! It is in a more busy area of the beach. I recommend anyone staying here get up early to grab their spot on the beach. Location is perfect for walking the Folly strip, beach and Pier. Would stay here again.

View of beach was perfect! Couldn't find code for gate to beach right away. Toilet paper and detergent had been misplaced but after quick call to property manager it was corrected. We stayed on ground floor and people above us were super noisy. It sounded like they were moving furniture and stomping when they walked. Other than that people of Folly were super friendly and we were within walking distance to everything.

Condo listing was accurate. It’s on the smaller side, but perfect for what we wanted. Kitchen is sufficiently equipped, bed was verrrry comfortable, shower was amazing, and the view of the ocean from the balcony was very soothing. Only issue I have as a short person was the adirondack chairs don’t allow for unobstructed view. (Must look between railing spindles). They are too low, and difficult for older adults to get up from.

The condo was clean and beautifully decorated and convenient to everything on Folly Beach! It was small but worked great for 2 adults and 1 dog! Some of the wooden steps were a little shaky, but the biggest issue was the poorly insulated walls between the units! If you have considerate neighbors, no problem, but if your neighbors enjoy partying until 2 or 3 am and come in shouting, laughing and fighting (?). And, it is quite annoying when it happens on a nightly basis! Something needs to be done to better insulate the walls and ceilings between the units.

Very nice one bedroom condo directly on the beach and an easy 2 block walk to all the restaurants and shops on Center Street. Be aware that Folly Beach, and this property in particular, is VERY dog-friendly. We might have been the only ones in the building without a dog! The condo was very clean, but I did have to take allergy medicine while there, due to mild allergies to dogs. The condo itself is a bit worn but, again, very clean and everything worked well. It was perfect for a week for a couple. Will definitely consider it again when we return to Folly in the future.

Our family of 4 had an amazing time in this unit. It is literally steps from the beach, and an easy relaxing walk to restaurants, shopping, entertainment. We loved walking to the Pier in the evening for ice cream. The unit had everything we needed and was so clean and organized. We can't wait to return. Our only suggestion is to add a Keurig coffee pot. Then it truly would be perfect!

LaPlaya C1 is very well planned and furnished for 2 people. Coffee on the balcony in the morning is very nice and it is within walking distance to several restaurants, shops, bars, and the pier. Although my family and I were never able to actually stay in this condo, I felt the need to review how an emergency was handled by them. We were suppose to spend a week in this condo just after hurricane Matthew hit the area. Unfortunately, Folly Beach did not regain electricity and were unable to arrive. The management company stayed in email contact with me and provided me daily updates as to the progression of the situation. Once we decided to request a refund, it was received very quickly and with no hassle. We hope to return and stay in this condo in the future.

Every time I go to Folly Beach I ALWAYS stay at La Playa.. beautifully decorated, great appliances and a new BIG sofa bed. La Play is conveniently located close to the pier and all downtown activities, stores and restaurants. To be honest I arrive, park my car and never move it ...My wife and I walk everywhere.. having said that if one wanted to go into Charleston it's only about a 15 minute drive. the rental agency is courteous and very easy to deal with.

The condo was exactly as described. Very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the view and how convenient it was to restaurants and shops. It was a great place for our first trip to the beach with our 2 dogs. The only thing that was unexpected was that the balcony is all open. No real privacy but we adjusted and everyone in the complex was very friendly. We would recommend this condo and Folly Beach to friends. As far as eating, Rita's is a must - great food and atmosphere. We were disappointed that Bowen's Island didn't have oysters, so if you are going for the oysters, call ahead. Thanks Greg for sharing your little piece of paradise with us!

Walking out of the front door and being on the beach was perfect. Needless to say the view of the beach and the Folly Beach pier was incredible. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. The condo was clean, comfortable, cozy and perfect for two. Only two things I would of liked to have were space in the closet to hang my clothes and our balcony was a walk thru for our neighbors so we were not able to sit in the morning and enjoy coffee in private.

My wife and I just returned from our second Folly Beach vacation (late February) -- again staying at Greg's condo. Last year's positive experience made our decision to return very easy. As the other reviews say, this small beach front condo is clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The location is great if you like to park your car and walk (to the beach and to nearby restaurants). We drove only to get to the Bowen Island seafood restaurant and for a visit to Charleston. Relative to other beach houses on the island, the rental rate for this condo is nicely low. A fully equipped kitchen, internet connection, cable TV, a very comfortable bed, and an ocean view (and beach access) make for a very comfortable stay. The only thing I would warn interested renters about is the unpredictability of noise from other people in surrounding units. It's a roll of the dice really -- for our stay it was quiet most of the time, but there were a couple days of remodeling work happening upstairs and what sounded like enthusastic furniture rearranging above us on one night. Spend the extra money on a beach house if you plan on being indoors most of the time and want to be sure of a quiet place -- our time is mostly spent outdoors, and so the occasional sound of footsteps or voices is not much of a concern for us. Overall, we highly recommend this condo -- and the Folly Beach experience in general. It is ideal for two people -- last year we had two teenagers along who were fine with sleeping pads on the floor (and cable TV). Favorite spots include breakfast at the Lost Dog Cafe, Taco Boy, and exploring tide pools at the south end of the island (time your walk for when the tide is going down). We'll certainly book another stay at Greg's cozy beach condo!

It was a very short drive to historic Charleston, USS Yorktown, and a must see Magnolia Garden. We would definitely chose this rental again. We stayed at Greg's condo for 4 days over Labor Day weekend. Dealing with Greg was outstanding. When you send an email he gets right back with you very quickly. We enjoyed being able to go out the front door and be on the beach for long walks and to visit friends staying a block away. GREAT to have a designated parking spot to come and go... lots of cars parked to go on the beach so that was more important than I thought it would be. The condo was very clean... My "cleanfreak" wife was quite happy. Decor was nice and functional. Internet access was good. Proximity to the pier and hub of activity was fine. A little less crowded further north on the beach, but you would have to rent a house instead of condo... the private boardwalk for condo guests was handy... and I am so glad we stayed beach front. Sitting on the chairs by the front door to watch the sun rise with a cup of coffee was nice. Greg was great to deal with...Took good care of us and I would definitely stay there again if I return to Folly Beach.

If you want a small place, with awesome ocean front views and private access to the wide sandy beach, this is the place. You could easily park your car on arrival and never move it until your departure day. Everything is that close. There's a market 1 block away, shops and restaurants 2 blocks away, and the Folly Beach Fishing Pier, with a shop and and a restaurant is only 5 buildings away! The condo is not too fancy, but very clean and well furnished. The owner bent over backwards to make our last minute decision to visit the beach happen. I would recommend La Playa to anyone wanting a beach vacation within walking distance of all that Folly Beach has to offer.

This was our second time staying at La Playa, and it was every bit as good as the first. The location is wonderful, the place is clean and comfortable, and did I mention the location? Once you park your car, you don't have to get back in it until you leave. We all adore the property, and my son really enjoys the waves! Walking the dog on the beach in the morning and watching the moon over the water in the evenings are treats not to be missed. I am sure that we will stay again!

We loved La Playa and Folly Beach. The place is just as nice as the photos indicate. Greg was very helpful when the a.c. faltered. He got it fixed that day. The listing and photos were very accurate. The place was very clean and right on the beach. We walked on the beach every day and were able to walk everywhere in town in 5 to 10 minutes. Very nice little town to relax in. 20 minute drive to downtown Charleston. We had no issues with the unit or in any of the dealings with the owner. We would recommend this as a romantic escape for two or for a small family with dogs. We brought our pets and they loved being on the beach. We will be back.

Arriving in mid January during cooler weather, the gas fireplace was a real treasure and sitting on the porch in the warm morning sun was a special treat. The location being a block away from Center Street made all the restaurants and stores of the island easy walking distance so we were not always jumping in the car. Others staying in the same building seemed to be there for a same reason, a pleasant, uncrowded winter retreat and this fit the bill.

Our stay in this condo for the week 4-27-13 through 5-4-13 was excellent! The location is great, not only on Folly Beach but in relation to Charleston and other surrounding areas as well. Here on Folly you have several restaurants & the infamous Bert's Market within walking distance. Folly is a great shelling beach for those who love the treasures of the sea. This first floor condo was very clean and though we didn't get to use the fireplace it gave a nice touch to the living room. We highly recommend it to everyone & we will be back next year.

Very nice, clean, comfy condo. The location could not be better, we loved being able to walk everywhere and not have to pay for additional parking. Loved sitting on the porch at night watching sunset and meeting the other nice folks in the building - all were super friendly and most had dogs, our dog loved being able to go right out to the beach. Very nice bed and linens, super clean, well stocked kitchen. The owner has a nice book about the area in the condo with things to do, menus, etc. Good books and games as well. Folly is charming, Mr. Johns is the best place for beach gear, t-shirts, with the store on the Pier coming in a close 2nd. My husband loved fishing at the pier which is just a few steps away and I loved the beach chair and umbrella rental that was almost right outside the condo on the beach. Favorite breakfast was at The Lost Dog, our dog loved it too and they have dog water bowls out front and the waitstaff brings dogs cookies to your pet! Loved the Crab Shack on the main street, great she-crab soup, crabcakes, and if you love bloody Mary's - you have to order the Crabby Mary - comes with a steamed crab leg! Wish I had one now! We were surprised how good the food turned out to be at Locklears Beach City Grill right on the Pier, by far the best burger and fries, tried Rita's as well, but Locklears has them beat. Bowens Island is an experience, HUGE fried food Portions, we had the Frogmore Stew and the bar- tender told us we chose the best thing on the menu - GO EARLY - it gets packed. Also another favorite spot was Red's in Mt. Pleasant - a short drive, right on the water. The pier in Mt. Pleasant is very nice as well. We will definitely be back and stay here again!!! We could walk out the door and surf, boogie board, kayak, body surf, bike ride and run after about a 1 minute through the dunes. Every thing you need is a short walk or bike ride away. There's a large area underneath the building to lock your toys up. After our son wore us out beach frolicking we could retreat to the porch and still watch him safely while he played in the waves. We spent most of our time outside but the condo is very nice and had everything we needed. Folly Beach is a laid back and fun town.....we'll be back!

This is a small but very efficiently laid-out unit that could not be in a better, more central location. It is right on the beach and close to all shops and yummy dining choices. Bert's market is a block away and awesome. The pipes were there, but it was peaceful and quiet. We have been to other beaches where replenishment is also in progress and we not bothered by this. On one of the windy days the pipes actually provided a wind break and that is where everyone set up there beach blankets. The pull out couch was a fun and very comfortable novelty for our 7-year old. The condo has everything you need and all instructions (for fireplace, what to do with linens, and so on) are very clear. We really appreciated the two washing machine tabs marked for our unit! No one wants to fly with detergent or by a whole bottle to do do two loads. It is a thoughtful and appreciated detail. We also did not realize til we got there how AWESOME it is to have the parking space, as these are at a real premium on the island. Overall we are really pleased with the unit and enjoyed out stay.

We have stayed here before quite a few times and it is in the best location on the beach. The owner is in the process of remodeling and has added a new Sleeper Sofa, a huge tv in the living area, painted, new rug, shades and it is a work in progress.. Laplaya is located very close to all attractions and eating places and within walking distance to all.. the town is in the process of beach renovation and the pipes referred to in another comment are in no way a distraction. In fact as a matter of interest one day it was very windy and we took our chairs to the beach and set up next to the pipes which provided an excellent wind break. unless we want to zip over to Charleston ( 15 minute's away ) we park our car in the space provided and don't move it until time for us to check out to come home.. This is a well appointed, cute condo and I will stay there again.

Stayed at La Playa for Mother’s Day with my daughters and enjoyed every minute. The condo is clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the porch with the beach view and the dolphins swimming in the ocean. An extra plus for us was the cabin came equipped with all the necessary household stuff for our entire stay. The owners is very responsive and helpful. We will definitely rent La Playa condo again.

We stayed at Laplaya the week of Memorial Day. It was fantastic. The views were amazing both day and night. At night, the lights of the pier, coupled with the relaxing sounds were magical. Lots of great food a short walk away. Best vacation ever. Great way to unplug and relax. Unbelievable view of the ocean even while napping on the sofa Loved watching the dolphins and sunrises. Stayed at La Playa for the best beach vacation I have ever had. La Playa provided all the comfort a vacation calls for with a fabulous view. Very nice home away from home feel filled with all the creature comforts you could ask for. Very clean and well furnished. Many things to do within walking distance. Learn to SUP, parasailing, and salt water fishing right off the pier. this get repetitious but LaPlaya is the ONLY condo I stay in while at Folly Beach. The folks at Follys Best Rentals are awesome to get along with.. This condo is located within walking distance of ANY place you would like to go located on Folly Beach.. I park my car when I arrive and don't move it until I unfortunately have to go home.. They have been refurnishing and updating for some time now and my surprise was a new, very comfy, Sofa bed.. PLUS the owners have taken out the standard uncomfortable mattress and bot a new therapeutic mattress that you aren't even aware its a sofa bed. great location, great views, just a lovely place to stay..

We are allergic to many things including dogs, but we did not have any issues! We loved the comfy memory foam bed, the plush towels and all the amenities, including the flat screen TV. It included secure parking for one car; however, it is centrally located within walking distance to all of the best restaurants. Be sure to go to the hidden gem The Black Magic Cafe. The condo was fully stocked and very peaceful, yet in close proximity to all of the action! Beautiful view and just a walk out to the beach. My husband and I stayed at La Playa for our honeymoon. I have been to Folly Beach before, but my husband has not, but this view took my breath away. I could not have asked for a nicer, more RELAXING experience!! We had planned to save money and cook while we were there, but that did not really happen. The restaurants we wonderful, Black Magic has a wonderful breakfast, and Bowen's Island is such a great restraurant, it was like seafood heaven!! The information book was awesome and helpful. The owner is wonderful...our neighbors were having issues with the wifi and within a half an hour, the owner was knocking on the door to our condo to fix it. I wish I had more "landlords" like that. The condo was clean, the bed was so relaxing and comfy that it was hard to get up in the morning, and the view was spectacular. By the end of the first day my husband told me that he would be a "snowbird" with me (we are from Pittsburgh, PA) any day and has officially become hooked on Folly Beach and is planning our vacation next year! The only thing that took some time to get used to was the people above us, who were a little noisy, although I am sure that they didn't mean to. Plus it gave us more reasons to go out and explore and enjoy the beach and downtown Charleston. I can not thank the owners enough for letting us spend time in their condo. We will definitely be back!!!

LaPlaya C1 is very well planned and furnished for 2 people. Coffee on the balcony in the morning is very nice and it is within walking distance to several restaurants, shops, bars, and the pier. Although my family and I were never able to actually stay in this condo, I felt the need to review how an emergency was handled by them. We were suppose to spend a week in this condo just after hurricane Matthew hit the area. Unfortunately, Folly Beach did not regain electricity and were unable to arrive. The management company stayed in email contact with me and provided me daily updates as to the progression of the situation. Once we decided to request a refund, it was received very quickly and with no hassle. We hope to return and stay in this condo in the future.

We enjoyed our stay at this condo. Very clean, and not over done with "trinkets" very tidy. Furniture choices were nice (sofa gold tan leather and didn't look over used). Appliances were all updated with a modern sink faucet that was great for refilling water bottles! The location was the best we have ever had at Folly (in the past stayed at two different houses). From the balcony view you seem secluded, but from the bedroom window you are close to everything (a small walk to Bert's; or any restaurant). We will stay here again sometime. You do share a washer and dryer with the unit next door. It was not an issue for us, but never had that before.

We loved this place! Lovely location. Able to just sit on our porch and listen to the waves and watch the sun rise. I loved that dogs are allowed in this complex. The wifey and I spent a three days in Charleston and three days at Folly and LOVED our condo!!! Super-clean, neat, comfortable and an easy walk down the boardwalk and right on to the beach! The key pad was so convenient and we did not have to carry keys around with us everywhere we went. An ideal location as it is a short walk to many restaurants, shops and clubs/bars. This was our first trip to Charleston/Folly Beach and we can't say enough good things about the city, the accommodations and the beach. We will definitely be back and will try to book this condo the next time we are looking for a beach getaway!

Every time I go to Folly Beach I ALWAYS stay at La Playa.. beautifully decorated, great appliances and a new BIG sofa bed. La Play is conveniently located close to the pier and all downtown activities, stores and restaurants. To be honest I arrive, park my car and never move it ...My wife and I walk everywhere.. having said that if one wanted to go into Charleston it's only about a 15 minute drive. the rental agency is courteous and very easy to deal with.

this get repetitious but LaPlaya is the ONLY condo I stay in while at Folly Beach. The folks at Follys Best Rentals are awesome to get along with.. This condo is located within walking distance of ANY place you would like to go located on Folly Beach.. I park my car when I arrive and don't move it until I unfortunately have to go home.. They have been refurnishing and updating for some time now and my surprise was a new, very comfy, Sofa bed.. PLUS the owners have taken out the standard uncomfortable mattress and bot a new therapeutic mattress that you aren't even aware its a sofa bed. great location, great views, just a lovely place to stay..

Stayed at La Playa for the best beach vacation I have ever had. La Playa provided all the comfort a vacation calls for with a fabulous view. Very nice home away from home feel filled with all the creature comforts you could ask for. Very clean and well furnished. Many things to do within walking distance. Learn to SUP, parasailing, and salt water fishing right off the pier. At the same property I met avid bikers, animal lovers and treasure hunters all very pleased with how Folly spoke to each of them.

We stayed at Laplaya the week of Memorial Day. It was fantastic. The views were amazing both day and night. At night, the lights of the pier, coupled with the relaxing sounds were magical. Stayed at La Playa for Mother’s Day with my daughters and enjoyed every minute. The condo is clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the porch with the beach view and the dolphins swimming in the ocean. An extra plus for us was the cabin came equipped with all the necessary household stuff for our entire stay. The owners is very responsive and helpful. We will definitely rent La Playa condo again.

This is a small but very efficiently laid-out unit that could not be in a better, more central location. It is right on the beach and close to all shops and yummy dining choices. Bert's market is a block away and awesome. The pipes were there, but it was peaceful and quiet. We have been to other beaches where replenishment is also in progress and we not bothered by this. On one of the windy days the pipes actually provided a wind break and that is where everyone set up there beach blankets. The pull out couch was a fun and very comfortable novelty for our 7-year old. The condo has everything you need and all instructions (for fireplace, what to do with linens, and so on) are very clear. We really appreciated the two washing machine tabs marked for our unit! No one wants to fly with detergent or by a whole bottle to do do two loads. It is a thoughtful and appreciated detail. We also did not realize til we got there how AWESOME it is to have the parking space, as these are at a real premium on the island. Overall we are really pleased with the unit and enjoyed out stay.

We could walk out the door and surf, boogie board, kayak, body surf, bike ride and run after about a 1 minute through the dunes. Every thing you need is a short walk or bike ride away. There's a large area underneath the building to lock your toys up. After our son wore us out beach frolicking we could retreat to the porch and still watch him safely while he played in the waves. We spent most of our time outside but the condo is very nice and had everything we needed. Folly Beach is a laid back and fun town.....we'll be back!

Very nice, clean, comfy condo. The location could not be better, we loved being able to walk everywhere and not have to pay for additional parking. Loved sitting on the porch at night watching sunset and meeting the other nice folks in the building - all were super friendly and most had dogs, our dog loved being able to go right out to the beach. Very nice bed and linens, super clean, well stocked kitchen. The owner has a nice book about the area in the condo with things to do, menus, etc. Good books and games as well. Folly is charming, Mr. Johns is the best place for beach gear, t-shirts, with the store on the Pier coming in a close 2nd. My husband loved fishing at the pier which is just a few steps away and I loved the beach chair and umbrella rental that was almost right outside the condo on the beach. Favorite breakfast was at The Lost Dog, our dog loved it too and they have dog water bowls out front and the waitstaff brings dogs cookies to your pet! Loved the Crab Shack on the main street, great she-crab soup, crabcakes, and if you love bloody Mary's - you have to order the Crabby Mary - comes with a steamed crab leg! Wish I had one now! We were surprised how good the food turned out to be at Locklears Beach City Grill right on the Pier, by far the best burger and fries, tried Rita's as well, but Locklears has them beat. Bowens Island is an experience, HUGE fried food Portions, we had the Frogmore Stew and the bar- tender told us we chose the best thing on the menu - GO EARLY - it gets packed. Also another favorite spot was Red's in Mt. Pleasant - a short drive, right on the water. The pier in Mt. Pleasant is very nice as well. We will definitely be back and stay here again!!! Our stay in this condo for the week 4-27-13 through 5-4-13 was excellent! The location is great, not only on Folly Beach but in relation to Charleston and other surrounding areas as well. Here on Folly you have several restaurants & the infamous Bert's Market within walking distance. Folly is a great shelling beach for those who love the treasures of the sea. This first floor condo was very clean and though we didn't get to use the fireplace it gave a nice touch to the living room. We highly recommend it to everyone & we will be back next year.

Arriving in mid January during cooler weather, the gas fireplace was a real treasure and sitting on the porch in the warm morning sun was a special treat. The location being a block away from Center Street made all the restaurants and stores of the island easy walking distance so we were not always jumping in the car. The listing and photos were very accurate. The place was very clean and right on the beach. We walked on the beach every day and were able to walk everywhere in town in 5 to 10 minutes. Very nice little town to relax in. 20 minute drive to downtown Charleston. We had no issues with the unit or in any of the dealings with the owner. We would recommend this as a romantic escape for two or for a small family with dogs. We brought our pets and they loved being on the beach. We will be back.

Our stay at Laplaya was probably one of the best vacations we have ever had. The view of the beach and the fishing pier from the condo was beautiful, to say the least. The location was perfect. Where to start? One word: perfect. We loved every second we spent in Folly and at this "little slice of heaven" condo. It's clean, cute, and close to everything. If you haven't been to Folly before (which we had not) you will quickly see the value of having your own parking spot. With the exception of a few times we ran into Charleston, our car never moved and we walked to everything. One really great thing about this unit that should not be underestimated is that it's on the first floor. You can have your feet in the sands within 30 seconds of closing the door. It doesn't get any better than that. Greg was so easy to deal with and his communication - from the day we put down our deposit til the day we checked in - was customer service at his best. He even stopped by one day to introduce himself and check in on our stay. I can't say enough good things about our experience, and we know that we will be back again one day.

If you want a small place, with awesome ocean front views and private access to the wide sandy beach, this is the place. You could easily park your car on arrival and never move it until your departure day. Everything is that close. There's a market 1 block away, shops and restaurants 2 blocks away, and the Folly Beach Fishing Pier, with a shop and and a restaurant is only 5 buildings away! The condo is not too fancy, but very clean and well furnished. The owner bent over backwards to make our last minute decision to visit the beach happen. This was my first trip to Charleston & Folley Beach and I could not have stayed at a nicer place. It was on the first floor (thank Goodness) and we still had a full view of the beach and ocean. My wife and I just returned from our second Folly Beach vacation (late February) -- again staying at Greg's condo. Last year's positive experience made our decision to return very easy. As the other reviews say, this small beach front condo is clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The location is great if you like to park your car and walk (to the beach and to nearby restaurants). We drove only to get to the Bowen Island seafood restaurant and for a visit to Charleston. Relative to other beach houses on the island, the rental rate for this condo is nicely low. A fully equipped kitchen, internet connection, cable TV, a very comfortable bed, and an ocean view (and beach access) make for a very comfortable stay. The only thing I would warn interested renters about is the unpredictability of noise from other people in surrounding units. It's a roll of the dice really -- for our stay it was quiet most of the time, but there were a couple days of remodeling work happening upstairs and what sounded like enthusastic furniture rearranging above us on one night. Spend the extra money on a beach house if you plan on being indoors most of the time and want to be sure of a quiet place -- our time is mostly spent outdoors, and so the occasional sound of footsteps or voices is not much of a concern for us. Overall, we highly recommend this condo -- and the Folly Beach experience in general. It is ideal for two people -- last year we had two teenagers along who were fine with sleeping pads on the floor (and cable TV). Favorite spots include breakfast at the Lost Dog Cafe, Taco Boy, and exploring tide pools at the south end of the island (time your walk for when the tide is going down). We'll certainly book another stay at Greg's cozy beach condo!

Walking out of the front door and being on the beach was perfect. Needless to say the view of the beach and the Folly Beach pier was incredible. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. The condo was clean, comfortable, cozy and perfect for two. Only two things I would of liked to have were space in the closet to hang my clothes and our balcony was a walk thru for our neighbors so we were not able to sit in the morning and enjoy coffee in private.

It was a great place for our first trip to the beach with our 2 dogs. The only thing that was unexpected was that the balcony is all open. As far as eating, Rita's is a must - great food and atmosphere. We were disappointed that Bowen's Island didn't have oysters, so if you are going for the oysters, call ahead. An ideal location for a family beach vacation...each morning my husband and I would have our coffee and read on the front porch, listening to the soothing sounds of the ocean (soooo relaxing). We spent most of our days on the beach and appreciated the lifeguard stand located directly in front of the condo (key when you have adventurous young kids!). We walked to the pier, outfitted my son with gear and fished one rainy afternoon (the highlight of his trip). The restaurants Greg recommended were outstanding and most of them were within walking distance to the condo (Bowens Island is worth the drive!). You could not ask for a more convenient location. The views from the porch are spectacular. Took some fabulous photos. We thoroughly enjoyed the local flavor of the island and look forward to returning next summer.

This was our second trip to Folly Beach. We spent 5 nights at the end of May in this condo and had a wonderful time. The place was a perfect size for two of us and our dog. The condo was very clean and very accomadating to our needs. Plenty of kitchen utensils for cooking. Girls, there is a blow dryer also. (Really didn't expect that being a man owns the condo.) The bed was really comfy. This is so much better than a hotel. I suggest you walk out to Morris Island Lighthouse, it is beautiful. Gregs recommendations for eats were good also, Bowens Island restaurant had burned so it was closed for remodeling, but there is a seafood restaurant just across the first bridge going out on the left that we really liked. Plenty of food and very reasonable. I would recommend this vacation haven to anyone.

Robert the owner would want me to let y'all know. Bowen's Island is still open although it may not look like it. In typical Charleston fashion, they moved the kitchen to a small out building and now serve out on the shrimp dock until they can get the building rebuilt.. It is very rustic, but a wonderful experience. The Sand Castle y'all mentioned is also a nice place to eat. Greg and Sandra, thank you both for the very kind review . Y'all are welcome back anytime.

Great location; right on the beach & easy walknig distance to town. The condo is very clean and well maintained. It was nice having a washer & dryer. Private parking for renters. The photos are exactly as it looks. The owner was very responsive. Close to many historical sites in the Charleston area. I plan on going back & will recommend to others.

The condo was a great place to stay. Clean and comfortable and the laundry room was a plus! I loved being able to sit outside and watch the waves, sunrises, sunsets. Also very nice to be able to walk to the restaurants and shops close by. Weather was perfect.

The condo is in a great location. I loved waking up and being able to sit outside my door to watch and listen to the ocean. You can walk to local restaurants nearby or downtown Charleston is only about 20 minutes away if you want more options and more activity. We had a great time and found it to be a really great place to stay.

We just returned (late March) from four nights at Greg's great condo. It was our first visit to Folly Beach and the condo was wonderful and exceeded our expectations -- as did the Folly Beach area in general! Greg’s condo was very clean and attractive. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, dishes, and a dishwasher. The bed was comfortable, and the condo was quiet due to respectful neighbors during our stay. The best part was the ability to walk out on the front deck/lanai and be immediately “at the beach.” We were happy to park our car at the condo and walk the few steps to the beach or a take a short stroll to nearby restaurants and shops. Starting each day with a sunrise on the deck/lanai was fabulous. Dolphins were spotted swimming past our front door. People staying in the adjoining units were friendly and quiet. Arriving and leaving was easy. The Lost Dog Cafe and Taco Boy were our favorite town restaurants, and the Bowens Island oyster experience should not be missed! Thanks Greg for a great stay. We hope to return next year.

My husband and I had a wonderful week staying at this condo. We loved the location, amenities - ahh, the lovely bed and comforter, plus the closeness to the restaurants. We did not have to drive to but one place recommended by the owner - Bowen Island for delicious steamed oysters, fried shrimp and hushpuppies. What an institution for fabulous seafood. This is certainly a slice of sunny paradise that you have to experience for yourself. We absoultely loved it!

Really enjoyed the condo over Christmas. Very convenient to Charleston (only a ten minute drive) and walking distance to great restaurants. This is one fabulous beach. Good recommendations from Greg and other renters for eating. Follow up on them they are worth it.

Couldn't have asked for a nicer condo, the view and the location was the best around. All the amentites of home, and being able to bring our pet made it even better. We will be back to stay at this condo again. Lost Dog for breakfast was great and the new restaurant Center Kitchen had some great home cooking would reccomend both of those places for a great meal.

I was booked on Folly Beach to photograph a wedding and this place could not have been more ideal. It had everything I needed, was a short walk to the wedding site and gave me a great mini-vacation on Sunday. The surf was great and it was nice to wash our clothes on site before heading home. What a view! What a place! What great food! We were in town for our goddaughter's wedding, which was on the beach! We arrived early and stayed late here in Folly Beach (10/8 - 10/12/09). YES! it was a wonderful break for us. Your condo is a wonderful retreat, the mattress on the bed is sooo comfortable and the towels very plush. Best of all though is the view...amazing! We went for long walks on the beach each day with our dogs, in the morning and later in the afternoon and picked up call kinds of great treasures. Also, there was a cute mardi gras parade down Center Street Saturday afternoon, and a small art show in the park so that made for a nice surprise and a fun afternoon. We are hoping to return again soon, and will definitely look to booking our stay at your slice of paradise!

This is a great property for a small family, especially for a short stay. It is right on the beach (amazing view), within short walking distance of downtown Folly. Our five year old loved being able to go on the front porch and watch the ocean. Very clean and comfortable. We liked being able to eat in for breakfast and lunch, then go out for dinner. It's within a a block of a small convenience store, too. We would definitely stay again.

My mother and I stayed in this condo for 4 days. This was my second time here. The condo had everything we could hope for. We cooked several time and never had to look for anything. The view is amazing and well work the money spent. It is only a short walk to town which makes it even more nice when you want to grab a drink or a bite to eat.
