We stayed for 4 nights in late August, two adults, three young kids. The place was great. Exactly as advertised. Great communication from the property management. Easy check in and out process. There were some communal beach accessories available, which was very helpful for kids (shovels/buckets/body boards). Also the marsh view from the screened in verandah was beautiful at sunset. We would certainly stay there again!

Marsh view was a bonus we had not thought about, and the walk to the beach was shorter than we had anticipated with multiple access options (6th, 7th, and 9th streets). Community ice machine was a big plus for trips to the beach. It is also a short golf cart ride or a nice walk (less than a mile) to Center Street, and maybe two blocks to the dog park and play ground (and we used both). Grill worked well and made nice work of fresh fish from Crosby's. Screened it front porch was nice with the fans on. The area around the fire pit was nice, but we didn't really get a chance to use it (it did rain off and on three of the nights we stayed). Couple renting the cottage on East Cooper was very nice and had also stayed on Folly multiple times. Will definitely consider for a future visit.

There are numerous positives about this property —great location close enough to walk but far enough from the hubbub —lovely and comfortable main room —really nicely decorated—felt like staying in someone’s home vs many VRBOs that can feel sterile. This one has great style and feels loved —excellent porch for chilling —bedrooms were great and beds comfortable —yard and as perfect for a dog ? —quiet street with little traffic —kitchen is spacious and well stocked —many nice touches (tp back stock, laundry and dish soap) —discount in bike rental —attentiveness of the team managing the place was great ? The beach chair selection was not great so bring your own or rent. Bathrooms were clean but not particularly spacious—small showers. Overall this is an excellent property and we had a great stay.

We stayed in Folly while our upstairs floors were being redone. It was a great break from our regular routine. Being able to bring our pup with us was an added bonus. She loved the backyard and walks on the beach. We were able to see the marsh land and hear the waves. So many great porches and perfect cozy nooks! we highly recommended staying here!

We were thrilled with this property. Spacious, beautifully appointed, very close to the beach, and in a quiet stretch of Folly. It's a little bit of a hike into town, but it's a short drive and that's part of what makes it so pleasant, the beach was GORGEOUS and uncrowded, and the place has a view of the marshes, super pretty.

The house was beautifully decorated and immaculate. Plenty of space for a family to hang out together, but find quiet places to relax. The porch was so relaxing with a great swing bed! Kitchen was outfitted for any level of cook with a gourmet oven and the extra of a selection of spices to use (always nice to not have to pack or purchase salt, pepper, etc!) Lovely little yard for kids or pups to play. Easy walk to the beach or marsh.

We went down for my daughter to run the Charleston half marathon - which got cancelled due to covid. However, we rented a golf cart and she ran 13 miles on Folly while we followed her and we had a blast. The house is awesome. Plenty of places for people to sit while still being together. The back yard feels like you are in the tropics. The landscaping is beautiful!

Property was perfect for us. Looked for a place that gave 3-4 different areas that family could work remotely while at Folly. Also needed to be able to host small extended family gathering after our grandson’s baptism. Everything we needed was supplied. Great WiFi, bedding, linens, towels, kitchen, furniture. Extremely clean inside and out. Owners have thought through everything to make your stay wonderful. Really loved the fenced in back yard. Property manager, Folly’s Best Rentals, so friendly and. accommodating. Give this rental 10 stars!!

My husband & I and our 12 yr old daughter & her best friend (and our 2 dogs) stayed for Easter/Spring Break. The house is even cuter than the pictures online. It's on the west side of the island which has great old shade trees so the streets are perfect for walks/runs. 2 blocks from the beach & two blocks from the park with playground, basketball, tennis and a dog park. The backyard is beautifuly landscaped & was great for the dogs. We would stay here again for sure!

We loved staying at this home. Nice view of the marsh from the screened in porch with a very comfy swing and rocking chairs. Easy walk to beach with wonderful access. The kitchen was fully equipped with anything you’d need to cook with... even a garlic press and muffin pans!! The walk to town was .8 of a mile. Very doable walk as parking is not always easy to find in the heart of Folly. If you have a large gathering with multiple families, there are 2 smaller cottages right behind this property that is designed to be social with them. This neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Would stay here again! :)

We went to the house for six days for a getaway with three adults and three children, ages 5, 3 and almost 2. The property was perfect for all of us. It was clean, and safe for the kids. The beautiful front porch was screened in so we didn't have to worry about the kids getting hurt. The location is perfect, just a few blocks walking distance from the beach. The house was perfect for our stay! It was clean, well furnished, and quiet. It was perfect for our dog with a fenced in back yard and outdoor shower! It was a close walk to the beach and restaurants. Would definitely recommend this house!

We ABSOLUTELY loved this beach house! Had everything we needed and more and only a 5 minute walk to the beach. We had a question when we got there and not only did they answer the phone, they came right over to show us where it was. Customer service was awesome! We will definitely stay here again!

Fully updated home with views of Folly River from Private Screened Porch. Modern kitchen and baths. Furnished with real furniture and not rental, wicker junk. Layout good for privacy. Kind, friendly owners. Multiple porches to catch the right mood. We cannot say enough about the property and the owners (thanks for being pet-friendly :) and we plan to return. Super-satisfied.

Swabbies is nestled in a quiet neighborhood. Short walk to the beach and an uber ride from Center St. The house is very well kept.

I would recommend either having a golf cart rental to help w the commute into the center of folly beach unless you're up for lots of walking but honestly the whole overall stay was great!

I stayed here, with a group of friends, for a week to celebrate two birthdays and the Fourth of July. Everything was perfect, everyone kept commenting on how beautiful and comfortable the house was. It's in a perfect location, both the beach and Center St are easy quick walks. The backyard is beautiful.

The property is well maintained and we lacked for nothing. Bert's is just down the street for groceries or Harris Tetter on James Island is only a 10 minute drive. We had a most wonderful stay and hope to return.

Great house. Perfect location - routside of the main downtown area for perfect access to a quiet beach or restaurants just a short walk away. Plus, the house was well stocked with beach chairs and towels so I didn't need to bring extra stuff.

I was absolutely overwhelmed with Swabbie's place. This home has everything you would want a beach house to have. It is incredibly well appointed, and incredibly well thought out. The layout flows very well and offers several inviting spaces: A beautiful screened porch, a second story deck with first class outdoor dining furniture and umbrella, as well as a ground level patio/courtyard grill area. The beach accessories; chairs, carts, and toys and that the owners provide for the tenant use, are also first class. Not only have I rented over 15 different homes on Folly Beach, I am also the owner of a rental property firm. In other words, I am very picky and very hard to impress. Not only is this home super impressive, it is by far the nicest and cleanest home I have ever stayed in on Folly. I definitely plan to return as soon as possible!

My husband and I stayed with my parents and three teen boys. We had a great time being close to the beach and within walking distance of the downtown of Folly Beach. The house was great. Very clean. Everything we needed was provided. It was our first trip to Folly. We will definitely be back and will look to stay here again.

My family spent a week in Folly Beach at Swabbie's place. We loved it! The house was perfect for the 7 of us and our dog.. Very clean, nicely decorated. The beds were very comfortable, screened in porch excellent. Located 2 blocks from the beach. We had several BBQ's in the back yard which were great (bring mosquito repellent!) The beach was wonderful and they provided all the chairs, coolers, umbrellas. We rode bikes everywhere as the house was in a great location. We would definitely highly recommend this house to anyone!

We celebrated my husband's 60th birthday at this wonderful house. It is a lovely home with a cottage feel and lots of room to spread out. There are beautiful and unique furnishings throughout the house with every amenity you could need. The porch was perfect for watching a short afternoon rain shower and the inviting courtyard lures you to a sanctuary that feels like it's miles away from anything busy. This is a very tranquil and relaxing location with a view of the gorgeous marsh from the porch. Loved everything about this place and hope to come again!

This was a wonderful weekend stay for a very special wedding occasion. The family members loved the warmth of the house. Everything we needed for our stay was available. The decor of the house was great. The beach was very close by, so that even the older members of the family could easily access. It was really nice to sit on the back deck and have coffee in the morning and have enjoyable evenings of conversation on the front porch in the evening. Overall, it was a great choice and we look forward to the next time we visit Folly Beach and stay at this house again. Thank you so much.

The Best Rentals staff

This wonderful house feels like your home, not an anonymous rental property. Everything is clean and comfortable, from the roomy screened porch overlooking the marsh, to the back deck for morning sun with coffee, to the beyond comfortable master suite bed with the sound of the ocean close by. A quick walk to the beach, close enough for a sunrise visit. The owners and assistant are responsive in every way, providing helpful info about the area and activities, and thoughtfully stocking the house and kitchen with every imaginable need, in addition to keeping it immaculately clean. The personal maps and mementoes, beautifully part of the homey decor, help make it feel like visiting family. It is a quality one does not often find in weekly rentals; I cannot recommend this property highly enough: 6 stars!. Bravo, Swabbie!
