We enjoyed staying at this rustic tiny cottage. It was well maintained and the grounds and amenities were nice. We loved the screen porch and could hear the waves with the windows open. Also there was laundry and an ice machine on the beautiful grounds. Really nice. Would stay here again.

Definitely one of our top two AirBnBs ever stayed at! The cutest beach cottage ever! We arrived at the start of a hurricane and had easy instructions to enter the cottage, and get settled in. We woke up to no air conditioning due to the storm but had it back on within a few hours. Someone from The Best Rental stopped by the cottage to make sure everything was ok when she saw us on the porch! Communication was spot on and we appreciated how quickly they responded when the air stopped working correctly! Had it working almost immediately.
We appreciated how quaint the cottage was, and LOVED the rocking chairs on the screened in porch! Comfortable furniture in the house and it had everything we needed for our long weekend!
Easy two block walk to the beach.
Neighborhood was quiet and quick walk to the dog park.
Would 100% recommend this cottage for a couple, or even a girls weekend! Can't wait to come back! Thank you!

A repeat renter of this property— and had another great stay. This cottage is quaint, but with everything our family of three needs when at Folly Beach. I love the screened in patio, and the easy walks to the beach and/or Bert’s (and slightly longer walks to Center Street).

We stay in Folly multiple times a year, Coopers Cottage was a cozy and very clean place. We were there during tropical storm Debbie and this place was a nice place to spend the day inside. Such a cute, little beach cottage! It’s an easy walk to the beach or Center St. My two 12-year old boys loved the bunk room and I loved the screened in front porch. I can see coming back and renting the adjacent cottages with some other families.

Perfect little tidy house, well-located and equipped, comfortable and a little funky. Street is sweet, pretty and super convenient to beach and town. Management company is very responsive, if a little over zealous--on off season, is it necessary to ask for $100 to arrive a little early? Other than that, absolutely no complaints.

What especially pleased me and and the friend I rented it with were the thoughtful little touches--the towel hook right next to the (wonderful!) shower, the helpful hooks everywhere you'd want one, the goodie bag of bathroom and kitchen supplies, the labeled light switches so you don't have to try four to get the one that turns on the fan, and more, such as the windows that open and close so easily. All of it is so well thought out. Great service, always quick and courteous. The landscaping outside this sweet little cottage is mature and beautiful. Thanks so much! I'll be back if you'll have me!

The only negative would be the size of the bed in the main bedroom. If you could somehow fit atleast a queen size it would make the stay much more comfortable.

The cottage is lovely and the kitchen well stocked, so the place is great for a long-weekend get-away for a couple or small family. The beach and downtown are both close.
The restaurant selection and choice of activities on Folly Island is limited, so stock up as needed at the large grocery stores nearby on James Island and bring a book or two.

We loved Folly. It is so relaxing. We liked the addition of beach chairs, cooler and umbrella along with ice machine that were all located in the laundry room. We brought our dog so the outdoor shower was fantastic to rinse him off after the beach. The only recommendation we have is investing in some softer mattresses. Otherwise, our stay was great!

If you are looking for a small, cute beach cottage with some character, this is it! All the comforts and well provisioned. Note, no oven, but that’s ok as we ate out most nights in the great Folly/Charleston places. 3 streets back from beach but easy walk to anywhere. We did rent a golf cart and that was fun. Note also that the dog fee is $25 per day which is fair but sorta misleading in the VRBO info. Overall, I’d rent again and we enjoyed our stay.

Property was as expected. We were amazed at how quickly the additional charges added up. Area was quiet and access to the beach good. Unfortunately, it took 5 1/2 hours to do one load of laundry as the washer had a defective switch and water did not drain. Kitchen was well stocked except a stopper is needed for the sink. New curtains would be a plus in the living room and bath. We arrived, in the dark, late Sunday. The next morning, we found a $60 parking ticket on our vehicle. We had, not as yet, read the notebook stating, among many other rules and regulations, that the parked vehicle must be oriented with the adjacent flow of traffic. The city does not provide signage regarding parking. In spite of the problems, the owner was responsive and our trip was great!

Cooper Cottage is an awesome cottage a short distance to the beach and about a mile stroll to the downtown area. Once we parked we never had to get in our car again for the weekend. Our internet went out one day but Folly Best was very responsive and fixed the issue quickly. Highly recommend this cottage.

This was a clean and great place to stay close to the beach. The town was a little ways, if you were walking, but the beach was super close. We brought our dogs and we were very thankful of a nice dog park very close, because there were no potty signs in the yard. Great place to have a nice getaway

We had a perfect time staying at Cooper Cottage. It’s very charming, and has everything you need. So nice to find such a great place that is dog friendly too. Communication was easy and quick. The location is great and an easy walk to the beach and 15min walk to shops/restaurants. We had a great stay with two adults, two teenagers and a dog. The screened in porch for morning coffee was my favourite spot.

I can not praise this place enough! Absolutely cute cottage in the best location. Only two short block to beach access, and 6 blocks to the main shopping/food area (close enough to walk but quite at night). We parked our car upon arrive and walked everywhere all weekend. The cottage itself was so cute and had a beautiful vintage feel with plenty of comfortable modern touches. My kids loved the bunk beds and the outdoor, private shower is so great after a day at the beach. Would stay again and would recommend to friends.

We stayed for approximately 10 days and had fun walks with our dog every day including trips to the beach and nearby main street. Fully stocked kitchen allowed for us to prepare meals or walk to nearby restaurants. Clean and comfortable.

We loved the location of Coopers Cottage - close enough to things but tucked away enough to have a nice relaxing retreat. The landscaping is gorgeous and made the space feel even more charming than it already was. We really enjoyed our time at Cooper Cottage, the location to the beach is great and the screened front porch was our favorite place to relax. We left a 8 pack soft cooler for people who might fly into the beach area (as opposed to driving) so they don't have to purchase one for their stay.

I stayed here with my husband and my little dog for 10 days while we were visiting our son who lives in Charleston. We loved this little beach cottage it had great access to the beach and we rented a golf cart for the 6 Block ride up to downtown Folly Beach. The kitchen and dining area were perfect for us. Luckily we had read the comments that others shared about all the extras this house had because the description didn’t state it and it was the best bonus of this place. The beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, carts, sand toys and boogie boards kept us from bringing or buying things. Not a bad walk to the beach, but too far to really walk to restaurants. It really had everything we could THINK of needing, which made for such a pleasant stay. Beds were quite comfortable and house was cute. No ocean view which would have made this unbeatable but those are harder to find on Folly.

It was a great location to enjoy a little bit of Charleston and the beach. Where the cottage is located in Folly Beach, you are a short walk to the beach but a nice distance from the main drag so it was quiet. The cottage was thoughtfully put together and furnished. The host was great to work through the reservation and prompt deposit return.

We spent a wonderful 4 days at Picket Fence Cottage with Tropical Storm Irma looming off the coast. The cottage was so cozy that we didn't mind spending more time inside than we had planned. Robin & Sue have everything you need upon arrival, from coffee to a bottle of wine. The home was clean with plenty of towels, clean sheets, and a well stocked kitchen. It was an easy walk to the beach, and the outdoor shower was a plus! I chose the cottage so that I could bring my senior dog along to the beach, and although he was not able to make it, I can say that it would be a perfect place for your pet! I would highly recommend Picket Fence or the two adjoining cottages, and I'll be back. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

My family of four, with kids 14 and 10, are repeat renters of the Picket Fence Cottage. I love having a place for ‘just us’; love hunkering down together in our home-away-from-home to remember how cool we all are away from work, school, sports, etc. And, the cottage is just a few blocks from the beach—so we come and go for lunch and later afternoon reprieve (when the sand gets awfully hot). The modest kitchen works great for many of our meals (we do eat out some in downtown Folly Beach), and we definitely use the kitchen table area, sitting room couches, and screened in porch area to be together. On-site laundry and parking also a plus.

We enjoyed our stay at the Picket Fence Cottage. Owners were very nice and always quick to answer any questions we had. It was very clean, well located and had everything we needed for the beach. Located an easy walk to the beach & about 6 blocks from Center St. Far enough away to not be in the middle of the crowds, but close enough to visit for dinner. If you don't want to walk, you can drive and usually find parking on the street next to the park at Folly River and just walk from there.

This was our family's third time in Folly Beach. We've stayed in a a rental house each time and Picket Fence was the best by far! SO clean and cute! Upon arrival, we walked in to find a hand written welcome note and a bottle of wine. What a nice and caring touch! The bunk beds in the second bedroom were perfect for our two kids. There were also plenty of children's books about sea creatures, the ocean, etc. So thoughtful! The super clean outdoor shower was awesome for when we came back from the beach and for keeping the kids from tracking sand into the house. We used the outdoor shower more than the indoor one during our stay! The grounds and laundry room that is separate from Picket Fence are shared with two other houses, but we rarely even saw anyone else. In the laundry area there was a beach cart, boogie boards, chairs, etc - anything that you would need for the beach. The grounds were well kept too. Only very minor request/feedback would be for a few more kitchen towels, wash cloths in the bathroom, and a couple more pots/a frying pan. There was only one kitchen rag, and two wash cloths. We bought some of our own for a couple of bucks, but for a family of four, you need more than a couple :). There were plenty of bath towels, beach towels etc. though. We really loved this house and so enjoyed our stay here. We are already trying to convince some other family members to join us next year so that we can rent the 3 bedroom home on the property - Swabbie's Place.

Visited the Porgy house where my Mom lived in the 40s. The owner was very gracious and let us in to take a trip down memory lane. Beach was great and Mom spent a lot of time on front porch. All the amenities for home and beach make it very easy to pack your bathing suit and enjoy!!!!!

The screened in porch was very relaxing to sit on and people watch. Folly beach is wonderful and a very relaxed atmosphere. Over my birthday weekend we stayed at the Picket Fence Cottage in Folly Beach, SC. It was perfect. Our dog Oreo was welcome and we were delighted with the cottage. Our family had the most wonderful stay at the Picket Fence Cottage. The cottage is adorable, whimsically decorated, and more comfortable than we expected. Just a short walk to the beach, and six blocks from town, we found that it was the perfect location. You can hear the ocean from the front porch; just add the cicadas in the live oaks, and you're set for a low country experience. The house is amply stocked, and it was nice not to have to worry about bringing linens and towels. Our hosts were attentive when needed, and left us a much appreciated welcome gift. The best part about the cottage is that it is dog friendly! Our family would stay at the Picket Fence Cottage again, for sure!

We loved our stay at the cozy Picket Fence cottage. It was just the right size for our family of three (or four including our dog). It was clean, had cute decor, just enough kitchen supplies to make a few meals, and comfortable surroundings. One of the best features for our son was the poster on an interior wall in the kids bedroom that glowed like a real aquarium when backlit. It was conveniently located two blocks from Solsurfers surf camp that our son was attending each morning, and just 20 minutes from downtown Charleston.

I would highly recommend renting this beautiful cottage. Myself and two buddies (mid 30's) had a great experience with everything. Cottage was immaculately clean and had everything we needed for a long weekend at the beach. Robin and Sue were great about communicating the details about the rental and always had answers to any questions we had. Location was great...quiet neighborhood and just a short walk up to the Tides hotel to hang out at the Tiki bar and listen to live music, eat at the many restaurants, or relax at the beach just a couple steps away. Will definitely stay here next time I'm in Charleston!

My wife and two young girls stayed at Picket Fence Cottage for one week in June. The first impression was exactly what the pictures showed, including a very nice welcome note and bottle of wine. Inside, the cottage could not have been more perfect. The bedrooms were fantastic, especially the kid's room with bunk beds. The kitchen was fully stocked, which allowed us to have breakfast and lunch there, as well a a great dinner. We also appreciated the outdoor shower. The walk to the beach was a breeze, only 2 or 3 minutes away. And Center Street was a nice walk along E. Cooper after great dinners at Rita's and Taco Boy. Trips into Charleston were very easy, and the drive is very scenic. We can't imagine visiting Folly Beach without staying at Picket Fence Cottage, and we're looking forward to our next visit!' If you are planning a trip to Folly, I highly recommend picket fence. It's a short walk to the beach, located in a great laid back setting. Had a wonderful experience and can not wait till we get to do it again. We are used to staying in hotels, and after a couple of days we are usually ready to go home and sleep in our own bed, but with Picket Fence it was a home away from home.

We were impressed with the way the cottage maintained a classic decor and modern conveniences (microwave/convection oven,etc.). It was very clean and comfortable. Robin and Tom were attentive and hospitable. Sue responded to all of our questions and made sure we were comfortable and that the cottage was clean. We also appreciated the beach and porch equipment. The cottage was conveniently located to the beach, restaurants and shopping. The food we ate at Rita's, Lost Dog and Black Magic was excellent. My husband and I spent the entire month of March 2016 at the Picket Fence Cottage. We had a wonderful time in this cozy cottage. Of course we took many walks on the beach and were able to spend time with our family. Our daughter and her family rented the cottage next door and loved it also. They stayed for only a week but I wish it could have been longer. Our other daughter rented a house a block away. We had lots of Folly Fun! I would recommend this cottage because of its hominess and cleanliness. Good memories were made!

My 1st trip to Folly Beach and 1st stay at Picket Fence Cottage. I spent the month of January, 2016 and can state unequivocally that both are amazing. Picket Fence Cottage was immaculate when I checked in and included everything I needed to get started on a great vacation - even enough coffee for the 1st few mornings. Bed is comfortable, sheets and towels are clean and appear nearly new; the bunk beds really came in handy for a couple of weekend visitors. Sue, the property manager and Robin & Tom, owners, are nice as can be and really accommodating. The location is ideal; away from the hustle, bustle of downtown and the party noise of some of the beach houses yet is an easy walk to the beach and downtown. Folly in the winter is a great place. Almost all of the shops and restaurants are open but relatively dead. Owners and staff are friendly and talkative; I really enjoyed getting to know a few of the locals. I thought food quality was almost universally good and prices were very reasonable. I will let you know how I like Folly in the summer after I spend a couple of weeks in August.

We stayed for 4 days just after Christmas and enjoyed the cottage and its location very much. It's not fancy but it is charming, comfortable and clean with most everything you're likely to need. Very quiet and close enough to the beach for easy access. We also enjoyed the town of Folley Beach and it isn't far to drive into old Charleston. No doubt it's a bit more lively in the summer. We had our dog and it worked out fine.

In town for a weekend long wedding so we didn't spend as much time as we would have liked at the cottage, but it was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. The bed was glorious with tons of pillows and soft linens; paired with the sunshine pouring in through the large windows we felt like we were waking up on a cloud. The owners were quick to respond to our initial inquiry and once we arrived there was a nice welcome note and bottle of wine to greet us. Overall a great experience from start to finish.

We loved the Picket Fence Cottage! The cottage was decorated so nicely, and the furniture was comfortable to sit and relax on. It was a two block walk to the beach, and was located in a nice little neighborhood. A walk to town, or a short car ride finds lots of restaurants and the pier along with the beach. The grounds were wonderful and maintained very nicely. I would recommend this cottage to anyone planning a stay near Charleston (it took about 15 minutes to get to the midst of the city), or someone wanting to be near the beach for a reasonable rate. Our dog was happy to be at the property, and we enjoyed our stay.

The house is clean, beautiful and has a lot of charm. Love the comfy couch and bed, soft nice linens and towels, and good coffee pot. It was great to have the outdoor shower, beach cart and boogie boards and also washing machines for dishes and clothes as well. Do warn others not to turn on any other faucets, appliances, or flush toilets while your in the shower or you will have a very cold shower though! Walk to the beach through a cute neighborhood takes 2 min. Bike or walk in less than 10 min to great restaurants like Lost Dog (excellent coffee, huevos rancheros, eggs benny, and service!), the Crab Shack (crab and peel and eat shrimp), or Rita's (best fish sandwich). We only used our car to venture into Charleston which is a very easy 15 min drive down the road. Also the owners are very accessible, attentive, and helpful. We are already planning our next trip back to Folly beach and can't imagine staying anywhere else as long as thus cute little house is available!

This is a lovely home. Well cared for, clean, and comfortable. The owners have thought of lots of amenities like carts for the beach and even beach toys. I loved the outside shower! It's close to the beach and quiet. The front porch is great too! The beds are comfy, the linens are lovely, all in all a great place to stay. The kitchen doesn't have much in the way of cooking stuff, so if you come to the beach and cook a lot you might want to bring a favorite pot and frying pan. There is also no blender, but the owners do leave you a bottle of wine, coffee and coffee filters, etc. It's small, but well laid out and feels bigger than it is.

We have 1 child and 1 dog. We loved that we could bring our dog to the beach with leashed morning before 10 am and evening after 6 pm walks by the water. Parking in front of the cottage for 1 vehicle and 1st floor only made unload and reloading easy with only 3 porch steps. Green grass out front was nice along with the screened in porch - bring bug spray and sunscreen. The property manager, Sue, was available by text and was responsive to our pest control request after the property had been recently pressure washed. The AC is audible at night so you know it's working and has a vent directly over the couch to keep you extra cool. In the kitchen there is a full sized refrigerator and Teflon pots, pans and flat top grill that we used most along with a long handled ice cream scoop. Harris Teeder Grocery in folly sells half gallon sized Talenti-Tahitian Vanilla Ice Cream and quart size Yuengling Black & Tan Ice cream!

We have two young children, and this was a great place for the four of us. It's close to the beach and park. And the many small touches, from the quality of the linens to the beach cart provided, make this a first choice rental. The decor is fun and cozy. My children loved the mural in their room. We would stay here again!

Everything about the stay was great from the space, location and the welcoming feeling from the owner as well as the propert manager. We really enjoyed staying here. It was the perfect size for what we needed, and all of the little extras were a nice touch. The owners greeted us with a warm hand written note, along with a bottle of wine and a coffee mug. There were also many extras that were unexpected, but very appreciated. We had use of beach chairs, beach towels, and a beach cart to take things too and from the beach. We look forward to going again over the summer!

We spent a great weekend at the Picket Fence. Great location on quiet street, close to the beach and short walk to restaurants. The decor was awesome and our girls loved the bunk room. The beach cart provided was an awesome addition, with the outdoor shower far exceeding our expectations. We will defiantly stay here again when we are in the Charleston area. Sue was great and available if needed.
