Wonderful place to stay! Easy to walk to the beach or downtown area. Great screened porch. Only complaint was that there was no soap and only a single trash bag, and we had a toddler in our group (all guests listed on paperwork including ages), so those items were missed… Walmart was just across the bridge so had to go back out to the grocery right after checking in. Everything else was absolutely wonderful!

This was the perfect beach stay. A short walk to the public beach access which was surprisingly not super crowded. The rooms are cute and comfortable. The garden entrance is to die for and very private and peaceful.

The Beach Hive was a wonderful place for a beach vacation. It's on Folly beach, just steps away from the beach and ocean front. It is a quaint, quiet location with a lovely, private courtyard that beckons for morning coffee and reflecfion. I love that there was a half bath in the living room and a full bath adjoining the two bedrooms. Each room was cozy and well appointed, making for a restful sleep. We loved the place and location. It was about a mile from downtown and one block from the beach. Very clean and comfortable, and the sideyard was great for the dogs. Communication with Best Rentals was easy and responsive. We rent again if coming back to Folly Beach.

To check in early was pretty pricey. Other places I have visited allowed early check in without extra fees if the place was available. Other than the inconvenience of early check in fees, the place was peaceful and private. Loved the side yard and garden fountain!

Great stay! Spotless place, close to the beach, had everything we needed and more. Comfy bed and pillows and nice linens. Yard was great for the dog and they even had dog dishes. The house had some features that weren't included in the description, like a Keurig and a carbon monoxide detector. We would return!

The location is great and it's a comfy place! The only problem was that the smoke alarm would go off when using the oven, stove, or toaster. Even boiling water set it off.

This was the perfect little condo on Folly for us and our older dog. Beach access was 4 houses up. It was so cute with the private garden. Awesome place.
Awareness: The smoke detectors were super sensitive. We boiled some shrimp and it set them off. Just something to be aware of when cooking.
Definitely would stay here again!

We had a great time and the place looked exactly like the photos listed! Everything was spotless and the enclosed patio made for a nice place to chill without getting bit by the bugs.
It was a few steps away from the beach and since we were here before May 1st, our dog was also allowed at the beach (huge plus!)!
There are plenty of seafood restaurants nearby too!
Our only complaint was that the smoke detector was way too sensitive. It literally went off every single time we used the stove. Even when we cooked foods like pasta with cream sauce, ramen noodles, or just scrambled eggs for breakfast! But other than that, it’s a beautiful place and we enjoyed our stay!

Loved this place! Sooo convenient to the beach- there in 3 minutes walking. We enjoyed sitting in the garden, beds were comfortable and house was very clean. Only feedback is bad water pressure in the main bathroom, sink barely has water and the shower head is lacking. Would definitely come back, though! Great spot.

The unit had all we needed. The outdoor furniture could have been in better condition, we did not use it. I recommend they supply better dish soap, such as Dawn. Overall we really enjoyed the property.

My sister, cousin, and I came to run the kiawah half marathon. We were delighted by the peacefulness of the property, the feeling of security, and how cozy and accessible our rental was. It was just a short 2 minute walk to the beach where we saw starfish and collected many shark teeth. We will be back to this same property! The beach hive was an great stay. Cute and private outdoor garden, right across the street from the beach and close to town center (not quite short enough to walk but still close) This is a downstairs apartment only which wasn’t totally apparent from the ad. thankfully no one was above us in the main house. there was also a code violation notice posted when we arrived that it was actually an illegal ground level dwelling unit that violated flood code with no permits… but we had a great time with 2 adults an infant and two dogs. Hopefully the permit issue was just a misunderstanding and this place is still available for you when you book. Enjoy.

Everything was great! Upon checking in we noticed that the tv was broken and the owner personally went out and bought a new one to replace it within a couple of hours. My mom also requested a coffee maker with a pot instead of the Keurig provided and they immediately brought us one from upstairs! Great location and very comfortable accommodations. Thank you!

This apartment was perfect for our family of four’s beach trip! Plenty of space, very clean, and loved the amenities. Having an outdoor shower and space to hang out towels and swimsuits out to dry was so nice. Beach items (including umbrella and toys) were available, as well as plenty of dishes and pans for us to cook meals and enjoy the days we ate at the apartment. And less than a five minute walk to the beach! The host went above and beyond by letting us check in a day early, due to issues with another place we had originally booked for our stay. My family and I have decided if this place is available, we will always try to stay here for our yearly beach trip!

This basement cottage was the perfect place to stay on Folly Beach. Close enough to walk to town for dinner and far enough away from the crowd. The private fenced courtyard was like something out of a dream. And the beds were so comfortable. Loved having access to the outdoor shower. The property manager was very responsive when we accidentally forgot what time checkout was (sorry, vacation brain). He let us back in immediately to retrieve our bags (thank goodness for their patience) Overall, the stay was easy, fun, and everything we could have hoped for at a good price. We hope to come back in the future and have already recommended it to our friends and co-workers. Thank you!

We loved our stay here. Beach access was directly across the street. Although the place was small it seemed very spacious and had a wonderful courtyard where we ate many of our meals. Loved having the outdoor shower so no mess inside. The kitchen had all we needed except a dishwasher but it was no hassle to clean up a few dishes. Great location! Will come back again.

We had a great stay for Memorial Day weekend! The property has very convenient parking (we were able to fit 4 cars) for friends to park for a nice beach day! The beach access is about two doors down and super convenient and the beach there is relatively quiet because of the prime location! Would definitely recommend!

The house is super cute and clean. There is a lot of natural sunlight even though it's a basement unit. Beautiful fenced yard for my dog and son to play in. The house is very conveniently located to the beach. It would have been nice to have clean outdoor cushions for the furniture. Also, the toilet off of the bedrooms didn't really flush properly upon arrival. Overall it was a great place to stay and would definitely recommend!

The apartment is delightful, with 5 doors to the outside and a private courtyard and screened in porch. Public beach access is very close, and the amenities in-town are within walking distance. The smoke alarm is very sensitive, but the vent above the stove vents to the outside - Don't be like me and remember to turn it on when cooking!

I’ve grown up on Folly Beach since I was a little girl. It’s my favorite place ever. The kids and I had to do a quick trip down for family business. This spot was perfect, we were able to get in and out and our dog had a great time too. Would totally stay again. Just need to know where the outside trash cans are.

We stayed here at the beginning of November with our two pups and had a great time! The place is spacious, well appointed and the half bath is such a great bonus. Not to mention the dedicated off street parking!! The courtyard was a great fenced in place for the pups to get some exercise as well. It’s a first floor apartment with people living above so we did hear walking around but it wasn’t much and never very early or late. I would 100% recommend for anyone to stay here!

We lucked up on this rental last year when we were staying next door and we needed a couple more rooms to accommodate our large group. This is the perfect cottage for us with our dog. The garden area, as well as the screened porch, is a nice place to relax with a cup of coffee or an adult beverage and you are right across the street from the beach. We look forward to staying here again next fall.

We had a great stay & relaxing time at the Beach Hive! Our family of four (with 2 teenage boys) & small dog found the accommodations great. So close to the beach & downtown Folly was also close enough, but far enough away for all of us to enjoy our privacy, peace & quiet too! The garden courtyard was awesome & nice for our pup as well. The outdoor shower & beach chair, boogie boards & coolers were extremely useful too. We did have a small issue with a small leak from one of the toilets, but upon notifying the property management, it was very quickly addressed. The grill had a bit to be desired, but it in no way put a damper on our family time away. We had a great week & look forward to coming back soon!

Beautiful place! Great location! Just a short walk (less than 5 minutes) to the beach, and you’re in the quiet side. Only a mile to get to Center Street where there are plenty of restaurants and shops. (We recommend Lowlife Bar!) And an easy drive into Charleston.

We enjoyed the beautiful apartment and garden so much. The beds were so comfy, the bath and a half were wonderful for four people. The kitchen served our needs well, and the shower in the screened porch for "after beach" was perfect. We appreciated the off street parking too! The location was wonderful, so close to the beach yet a quiet neighborhood! A short drive to the restaurants was not a problem as the beach was our focus and it provided well with the find of over 200 sharks teeth in 3 days!

We rented this unit for a family beach week. We have two young kids and a very energetic doodle. This rental was a perfect fit for us. The courtyard is large and lovely and the fountain is a really nice touch. We had a lot of rain during our stay and I must say I opted to bring our dog on walks as opposed to letting him out in the courtyard, because the area there was way too muddy and although we washed his paws it's just not a good scene to have a muddy doodle in a rental. For those with kids - We had our kids sleep in the king bedroom while my husband and I took the full/queen. The kids didn't love sharing a bed at first, but they got over it, and it's so spacious that it didn't matter ultimately. The screened porch has an awesome outdoor shower as well as - to my surprise - a couple of large coolers (one with wheels) as well as beach toys and boogie boards which our kids LOVED. The interior feels spacious and the decor is nice and breezy/beachy while also feeling luxurious. Note---there is no dishwasher at this property but I really didn't miss it. The location was a real draw for me with this property and was even better than I'd expected. We had just a 3-4 minute walk over to the 7th street beach access. We could walk 6 minutes to the awesome playground around the corner (5th street). We did walk to town a couple of times even with a 4- and 7- year old. Sometimes we went through East Cooper and other times we just strolled up the beach. Overall just a really wonderful and peaceful place to spend some quality time with family. This was exactly the trip we needed. We will be back.

This is a great place to stay. It is very clean and the location is perfect with just a short walk to the beach. Everything we needed in the kitchen was available. We enjoyed having some the screen porch to hang out or eat dinner. I will definitely stay here again

Stayed here for a few days with a friend. It was the perfect location, close to the beach and town. Quiet and clean. Upon arrival, we noticed one of the sliding doors didn’t lock correctly. We alerted the host, and they took care of it right away. Will definitely be coming back.

This is a very nice, sweet, comfortable place, very close to the beach. It was an easy, fast walk, even with three kids. The outdoor shower is great for rinsing off and not bringing sand into the house. Everything was very nice and the place actually has even more amenities than are listed on the listing. Also the place that manages it is super fast and responsive in answering any questions. Also very nice!

Bright, clean, cozy place that felt comfortable as soon as we settled in! Comfy beds and living area. A very short walk across the street to the beach (outdoor shower to wash off inside the screened-in front porch when you get back) and the traffic is lighter down this way. Lovely rental.

The location of this apartment was the highlight -- a block from the beach, a little ways from the bustle of town, and peacefully quiet! The apartment was clean and everything provided was easy to find and use. Both beds and the couch were comfortable, and the side yard and table set up provided a lovely spot to enjoy a family meal outside. The pictures online generally capture the place well. The king bedroom view via the sliders is now blocked by a paneled outdoor wall, so it was darker in there than pictured, and the grill provided is charcoal instead of gas. Some of the porch chairs are tired/rusty. If you want beach chairs, bring your own! But other than those minor criticisms, it suited us well for a 5-day stay with two kids and a dog, and we'd recommend!

We were able to open the sliding glass door to let our dog out, enjoy a cup of coffee/beverage and hear the ocean across the street. The center of Folly was a little less than a mile away and was a nice walk. We look forward to returning to this nice home.

Keyless entry made check-in a breeze, and the apartment was clean and bright. October is a great time to visit Folly Beach - quiet and open, expansive beach, which was a plus during this time of covid. We would stay here again!

The Beach Hive provides a great escape with pretty close beach access. No one would argue that this two bedroom apartment is fancy but it is an entirely functional space for a long family beach weekend (including my 6-year-old). I'd bring my family back to this rental again.

Small, but well laid out. Location is just a short walk to the beach. Dog friendly, and the private, secure courtyard was great for the dog to roam. Only suggestion is black out curtains for the smaller bedroom. Overall would absolutely stay here again!
